Which FE character could you take in a fight and how

Lute doesn’t have innate convoy access, she has to go to Ephraim/Eirika to access the convoy. So if you try to steal the tome then, you’re getting jumped JJK style.

Wait i am more thinking of the idea that this world we gonna fight has more irl logic

responding to someone asking you to respect their pronouns being “yeah i did it on purpose” sure is a bold choice, wonder what the mods will think of that one

Maybe Caellach or Valter, zap them with Thoron or so

i wouldn’t take anyone on a fight

The closest I got to combat experience is formal HEMA training and knowing swordfighting techniques, and I still am losing to everyone here. What kind of shot do I have against people with actual combat experience

Dude, you are not going to win against mozu. Polearms have reach, you don’t

I mean I have less than that and I think I could take Ross and a number of other early game axe users (though Ross is my best shot). Frankly if you gave me a sickle in one hand and a knife in the other I could probably use the sickle to hook and tie up his axe as I go for the neck w/ the knife.

The problem with using an off handed weapon is that you have to have enough coordination with it to make it an asset rather than a hinderance. If you’re not experienced enough, you’re gonna end up hindering yourself, even if it’s something like a buckler or cape

have you ever fought an axe user with your life on the line

realistically you (and mostly everyone on this thread) wouldn’t be able to take Ross

ignoring the concept of him having a hatchet, he’s both trained by his father (the legendary Garcia) and

actually kills

Both of you are selling yourselves short.

the true ask would be “How long would you be able to last against X”, not “Can I beat them on a fight”

No, I have enough experience to know what is a losing fight. As soon as you’re cut with an actual metal weapon or shot with an arrow or even singed by magic fire, you’re gonna be out of commission. That’s why HEMA rules dictate that the winner is the person who gets a clean hit in first, even if it’s just a small lesion on the hand

Yeah, so don’t get hit. Tie up the axe with the sickle, then go in with the knife. Flip 'em around if you need to, or use a parrying dagger or other more specialized tool, I guess.

and have you practiced that?

I don’t care, it’s a good plan, and if it’s life or death, you don’t have the luxury of doubt anyway.

have you considered that you are trying to put all the eggs on an untrained gamble on a fight with major stakes using short-range weapons against a (heavier) tougher weapon with more range

do you even have sickles

are your farms bare of greens and devoid of substance

It won’t work then. It took me like two to three months of getting beaten up to actually learn how to parry decently well. I don’t think you’re gonna first try this fight

This thread was clearly supposed to be silly and fun, you know.

Dies is a silly and fun example of what it’d take anyone here to actually have a shot
