Nice, that’s a pretty cool story!

i think no one would care but it’s just random as hell, I’m not even a fan of ygo and didn’t even know the existence of Red Eyes Black Dragon card and just thought of the reversed version of the heavily memed Blue Eyes White Dinosaur.

I went from “KingJay134”, then needed a new name for a French roleplay manga forum as a 13-year old and made this arguably more cringe handle lol.

I use it everywhere, but mostly just go by “Shinri” because spelling the full name out in public isn’t something I like doing :joy:

Well, I was originally known as ArchsageX. This was something that I decided as a middle schooler, because the class name Archsage from FE7 sounded cool and the X made it even cooler.

As I became a regular at a long dead forum known as Fire Emblem World, the nickname “Arch” just kind of naturally happened. So, I decided at some point to just go with that. For a time during my rebellious high school years, I went by “Archibald” because I thought the name sounded goofy and I liked it.

My old username was a name I’ve used since I first got an Xbox 360 in like 2008 or 9, with green being my favorite color at the time and the 3339 being a mathematical shout out. It stuck until 2022 when I came out as a trans girl, at which point I updated to DrGreen3339.

My name is Colin, and “Semicolin” is my username as a play on the greatest type of punctuation, the semicolon (I’m pretty sure I was the only person in my high school English class to use them in essays). I can’t remember the exact origins of it, but I think it came from either me or a friend of mine calling me that once or twice as a joke. At the time, I was going through usernames a bunch as my enjoyment of them quickly faded, and I wanted to finally pick one that I could stick with for good. “Semicolin” was my first attempt at that, and lo and behold, it’s stuck for the past seven or so years. In situations I need numbers I add “367” to the end, because that number was used in a book I read years ago and it became my default number for stuff like this for whatever reason.

A story about it I’ll never forget is that once when I was walking with a friend between classes, I believe it may have even been the first time we saw each other in person after quarantine, the only words we exchanged were him telling me, “Hey, if you were to fall into a meat grinder and only like a piece of you came out, then you would be Semicolin.”

  • “Lynx” because my favourite animal is the Canada Lynx.

My username is kind of an artifact of a largely bygone era. I liked to watch Let’s Plays a lot as a kid/Teen and wanted to make my own, thus LPFan.

I don’t even watch a lot of them anymore because of lack of attention span and time for most of them and the format fell out of favor, the proper term even being dropped for the reduced amount of actual LPs still being made by people.
