Yanderes. Gotta love them. Probably. Yanderes certainly want you to love them.

I wrote a draft where I gushed about how much I adore them when written right, when I can FEEL the tension, but then I deleted it because it felt like something too personal to confess to total strangers. I mean, if I write that, what’s next, a 300 page dissertation on why Kitsunes are the superior Monster Girl species? A video essay longer than the Lord Of The Rings Extended Trilogy just for a tag tier list? Anyway, yanderes…

I’m not looking for the lazy writing cheatcode where a psycho girl is a loyal puppy for a bland boring loser man for no good reason, or for some stupid contrived excuse of a reason like “she wrongly thinks he saved her”. I’m looking for the quietly terrifying ones, the scenery-chewing ones, the ones with obsessions so manic you can almost taste it. Bonus points if he’s into that and he can hold his own and impress her instead of being dominated and terrified the whole time.

True but let be honest, tharja is so yandere in the eyes of many, they ditch any part of her personality, stucked on rhajat and now only serves as her only personality in anything feh

No but the best yanderes are always otome game men. I don’t even like men like that and it’s just flat out true.

Like I’m actually starting to mald. Decades of history, civilizations of art piled up over the years featuring weird anime men being creepy and obsessive and he thinks a yandere is just a psycho stalker girl. Pfft. Psshhhh.

The second best yandere is Uika Misumi from BanG Dream! Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast because she’s just realistic and has intrusive thoughts about crazy things but is otherwise normal, if devoted.

My parents’ cat is a bit of a yandere. Generally very shy, but kills birds and rats for me and then brings them to me so I would like her more.

I heard if a cat brings you dead animals, it thinks you need to eat them and you’re a lousy hunter because you’re supposed to bring food home for you and the cat and eat it together when you return home, but you don’t. I have no idea if that’s true or not.
