What’s the coolest class either in official fe games or custom classes in hacks you’ve played and what about them makes em cool as shiz.

I haven’t really played any hacks besides my own so I feel kinda weird picking one from it… That being said I’m gonna do it anyways and then also include one from an official game to round it out. 
For Hacks:
From my hack FE8: Alternative, a “happy accident” I decided to keep was giving Assassin’s Galeforce after already giving them Pass, Shade, and replacing Lethality with Luna. Slipping through enemy formations, getting a Luna kill, and then getting another action feels so boss and on-point for a hit and run Assassin class. You can run back to safety, or pop a heal item, or go for a greedy 2nd kill knowing that Shade will probably divert threatz to your allies if you open up the cluster enough. I couldn’t bring myself to undo that change once I felt it first-hand. So cool 
For Official Games:
Fire Emblem Engage gave me Axe Armors and thanks to the Greataxes, forge system, crest engraving, emblem rings, and huge base HP for the class, it turned Jade into something truly special to me. An axe unit that has basically no double attack potential whatsoever but packs two hits into one with high accuracy, high HP, and high def. I had always wanted better armors and better axe units and Engage gave me both at the same time with Jade and the Axe Armor class. 1-shots everywhere

For Hacks that I’ve played:
Fucking pick a clone trooper lmao, I still only have A Star Wars Story on this list. Which one did you pick? WRONG, IT’S THE JEDI!
For hacks that I have in-progress:
The only two classes I have in AoL that are really my own idea are a T2 armored caster and a t1 cavalry archer.
For vanilla FE:
Mortal Savant, no contest… okay MAYBE Dark Knight’s competing.
Since my first ever FE game I’ve always been a huge fan of myrmidons, they were just the coolest to me. It might be the GBA animations, myrms are very fluid and acrobatic compared to most other classes and their anime ass afterimage crits can make you nut. But they’re also very attractive to a noob first playing FE7 on normal difficulty I guess - they feel very reliable due to their accuracy and the number of axe users, and dodging a chain of <20 acc hits and nuking in response makes you feel invincible. Which is important for a new player. Also myrmidon characters are almost universally hot. (In romhacks, too! I don’t recall ever seeing an ugly myrmidon mug)
So now whenever I play a hack and receive a myrm I make sure to train them.
(No I have not played Myrm Emblem.)

Personally, I feel that the Master Knight class in Fire Emblem 4 is one of the most incredible and well-designed classes ever to appear across the entire Fire Emblem series.

I’ve always been partial to Myrms and Swordmasters. I just like the cool sword users going swish, what can I say?

the mercenary (with a sword) is the coolest for me; a cocky swordfighter that literally does a front flip and is able to succesfully land a hit on their opponent is very disrespectful
the sad part (for me) is when they turn into a hero they lose that taunting nature they have in the way they fight
sorry for sharing too much here i’m really hoping a hero animation where they retain some of the way the sword merc fights but with the durandal would be cool :3

Honestly, Sniper. Specifically the Archanean sniper. Because instead of spinning the arrow when they crit, they 360 no scope. And They’re very useful.

Despite my name I am a GBA brigand enjoyer. I love the jumpiness and especially the critical scream. I do still love armors and generals though, spinny weapon crits are cool, but the y e l l.

I think it’s safe to say that the Wolfskin and Wolfssegner from Fates have “that dog” in them.
Now, obvious answer aside, I personally have a lot of love for classes that mix both magic and melee.
However, I think that Mechanist would have to be my actual pick for coolest class, just for how unique they are both aesthetically and as a concept, as well as for wielding both bows and daggers.
Has to be Halberdiers. I just love the animation — it’s simple, yes — but gawd damn do I just love it for both mainline and rom hack titles. Playable soldiers gotta be one of my favorite genders.
A close second would be Generals; they’re usually meh game-play wise but that just makes the reward all the better when they actually accomplish something. There’s a reason why people love lads like Arden.
