Hey, Rogandir here, solo indie dev. Thought you might be interested in Spellpowder: Uprising, since it is heavily inspired by Fire Emblem, mostly GBA-3DS era.
In the game you create your character and go through chapters where you meet new companions, level up your party characters and find/upgrade weapons. Chapters have few different objectives like defeat all enemies or reach a certain position. There is also an airship hub area, which can be upgraded for some bonuses or new game mechanics, think FE14 my castle.
Demo is available on Steam and will participate in an upcoming Next Fest.
Who would be interested?
Since I am a fan of Fire Emblem style games, I’m hoping Spellpowder would be interesting for you too. If you liked class trees in FE8, hubs, when they were smaller, and smaller party sizes this might be a good fit.
Game is more targeted at players new to the genre, but there are difficulty options too for those who want more challenge.

Eheh! Someone’s too new to post links.
I generally prefer wider class trees, but the size of 8’s are acceptable.
HEY TALK A BIT MORE!
what kind of fire emblem games do you like?
Well my favorites are Sacred Stones and Three Houses. But FE7 and all 3DS ones are great too (in some ways)
For class tree size, I wanted to have multiple changes for characters, more like trainee units (or pokemon evolution), rather than many options to select at once
Will there be ways to access classes besides the ones you promote into? (Eg. Heart Seal classes from Fates, friendship leading to gaining a class, etc.)
Ah, thank you. Added visuals now.
As for classes - no, it’s more of a binary tree. Here’s the graph, if interested
Not sure if this counts as necro, but Spellpowder: Uprising is now released!
It works on Windows, Mac and Linux.
If you’re not sure if it’s yours cup of tea, you can try the demo. It contains first four chapters of the game, although no hub area in it.
