Turn Count & Real Time achievements

I’m looking for a reasonable turn count for each chapter for vanilla fe8u, as well as real time taken in a casual speedrun.

So please share chapters you’ve completed and the time it took you to do the chapter (using ingame time), and your turn count when attempting a casual LTC, or what you’d recommend for said chapters.

Example:
Ch 0 - Prologue

Time: 2 mins
Turns: 2

For timing yourself, it’s easiest to skip cutscenes and check the time when saving:

I cheated and started ch 1. with 48 seconds ingame time.

After saving, immediately reset to see how long the chapter took. In this case, it’s under a minute difference because I cheated. I don’t need the number of seconds for this.

Please note that I am not looking for the record LTCs or speedruns. Just for what a casual player could reasonably achieve with a little practice.

Also, please play on hard mode. Not like my screenshots :sweat_smile:

Prologue

Time: 48s

Turns: 1 (I’ve incorporated that very convenient Eirika crit into my casual playthroughs)

Chapter 1

Time: 1m26s

Turns: 3 (had I not need to reset per clear, I’d have another strength level up for Seth)

Chapter 2

Time: 5m30s

Turns: 5 (could go 4 without issue, but eh)

Chapter 3

Time: 5m

Turns: 5 (once again, could go 4 easily)

Chapter 4

Time: 6m28s

Turns: 4 (I’ve done 2 turn clears before, so this just feels wrong)

Chapter 5

Time: 8m30s

Turns: 4 (Could do 3, but this gets the ring reliably-er.)

Chapter 5x

Time: 8m34s

Turns: 9 (could’ve gotten the chests in that TC, but eh)

Chapter 6

Time: 7m43s
Turns: 3 (used a very beginner friendly strat)

Chapter 7

Time: 5m13s

Turns: 4 (used a lax strat)

Chapter 8

Time: 13m14s (Lost track of the time, saved between turns).

Turns: 6 (didn’t get the whip, but Vanessa was not leveling well)

From here on out, I’m going to be working with Ephraim route.

Chapter 9 (Ft. Rigwald)

Time: 21m30s

Turns: 13 (Got Forde to level 10, still doesn’t have the best stats)

Chapter 10 (Best map in FE8 (Turning Traitor))

Time: 20m34s

Turns: 8 (got the kill on Beran. Also, promo’d Joshua.)

Chapter 11 (Phantom Ship)

Time: 24m12s

Turns: 8 (might’ve discovered a “foolproof” strat for this map)

Chapter 12 (Landing at Taizel)

Time: 14m20s

Turns: 5 (Full recruitment thanks to Ewan being on the field meaning Marisa joins automatically)

Chapter 13 (Fluorspar’s Oath)

Time: 17m19s

Turns: 6 (Got all the villages)

Chapter 14 (Father and Son)

Time: 28min44s

Turns: 8 (My Vigarde was incredibly scuffed)

Chapter 15

Time: 27m11s

Turns: 7 (Caellach was scuffed, forgot axereaver/swordslayer)

Chapter 16

Time: 11m58s

Turns: 4 (got the physic, at least. Also boots went to Ephraim)

Chapter 17

Time: 9m34s

Turns: 3 (Got the rescue staff)

I’ll be putting in achievements for both routes, and/or being lenient enough with the turn counts and times that they can work for either version of the shared chapters. Thanks for your hard work!

Don’t worry about messing up or getting a bad time / turn count. I want something realistic that doesn’t require rng manipulation and enemy control glitch.
