[Together in Battle] Complete SRPG creation suite - Usable for free!

Hi! So, I spent many years creating a full-featured, user friendly, and highly customizable SRPG campaign creation suite as part of the game Together in Battle–and now that I’ve found this place, I’d like to share it with all of you! (Note that the full creation suite is accessible from the game’s demo, so you can use it for free.)

Here are some of the things this campaign creation suite has:

  • A detailed character creation tool with support for one-click random character generation (no LLMs or other such nonsense here, btw–it’s all custom);
  • A cut scene editor with support for dynamic animated portraits in the GBA FE fashion;
    • Portraits support facial expressions and dynamic clothing-swapping;
    • Voice acting support;
  • A full-featured battle map editor;
    • Support for proc gen battles;
    • Support for elevation, environmental hazards, and destructible terrain;
    • Support for up to 6 different armies in a single battle;
    • Customizable AI profiles, tags, lighting, and battlefield conditions (including weather, alliances, fog of war, and alternate victory conditions);
  • An extensive scripting and dialogue tree system with built-in coding assistance, usable in both battles and cutscenes;
  • Support for free-roaming “exploration” scenes;
  • Support for importing player-created characters directly into your campaign at runtime;
  • Support for granular, simulated character relationships;
  • Dynamic cross-classing support in addition to traditional promotions;
  • A “skills” editor to let you create highly customized activated character skills;
    • Native support for AOE, movement abilities, summoning abilities, and object creation abilities;
    • Native support for directional damage modification (i.e. backstab and sidestab multipliers);
    • Support for tags that can make certain characters better (or worse) than other characters at using the exact same skill;
  • An item editor to let you easily create new consumables, weapons, shields, etc.
    • Support for both breakable and unbreakable weapons as well as personal weapons

There’s more that I’m probably forgetting to mention, but hopefully that gets across the gist!

In case you decide to check it out, a talented member of my community made a really handy and detailed guide to using the Together in Battle campaign creation suite. You can find that here: Steam Community :: Guide :: The Big Book of Campaign Creation (TiB Edition)

By the way: I’m planning to run a contest for mini-campaigns made in this engine in a couple of weeks; there’ll be cash prizes for the best entries. More info to come soon! :slightly_smiling_face:

Yo that’s sick.
Maybe I can try to port one of my fire emblem games there.

By all means! That would be really cool. :slightly_smiling_face:

(Note that some of the mechanics in Together in Battle are a bit different from vanilla FE, but most things should translate pretty seamlessly.)
