I couldn’t come up with anything for Dion, so he’s the one guy who never returns if spared. Chalk it up to him being court-martialled alongside the rest of the prison staff, or maybe he just walked away and lived his life. It doesn’t all have to be suffering.
I dunno, you could’ve had him show up as a miniboss in Chapter 6, 18 or 19.
Okay, one last weird thing I noticed:
This random enemy archer is clipping into a building.
They’re sitting on that little fence there
I’m kind of amazed nobody, including myself, noticed this up until now lmao
I mean, it’s not a big deal, but uhhhh yeah lol
Are camp convos tied to deployment rate, or are they all fixed regardless of what happens with these units? I know Plato at least has conversations tied to what levels he reaches to help draw awareness to getting Aptitude and Astra, and Tiresias gets a different staff depending on how he’s promoted.
Fixed, with a few exceptions like the ones you mentioned.
What was fixed?
I think SaintRubenio was confirming that camp conversations are “fixed”, as in “set in place with very few influencing factors”. As opposed to support conversations in FE9 and FE12, which are determined by whether units were deployed on the same map a certain number of times.
Sorry to doublepost, but I found another bit of unit placement to nitpick in Chapter 7:
With the way these two cavaliers’s “take action if enemy is two turns away” AI works in tandem with their placement, it usually means one of them will end up moving onto the highlighted fort space on the same turn that’s triggered to spawn two more cavaliers from that fort and the one two spaces left of it in response to a player unit setting foot on the eastern bridge.
EDIT: I also went checking if anything changed if you didn’t/couldn’t recruit Wulfric, rescued both of him and Tiresias, and then had the carrying units escape the map. Turns out nothing - Wulfric’s recruited as normal.
Just finished this hack last week and I absolutely ADORED it, so much so that I’ve already started a new run so I can find the secrets I missed and use a ton of units I wanted to use but didn’t have the space for (Though appearently I actually got every character according to the post game? Did not expect that). Don’t really know how to write a proper review that doesnt just mirror what a bunch of other people have said, But i wanted to try anyway! And I also wanted to show off my endgame army because god they were so much fun to use.
Review
So, this was actually my first Fire emblem rom hack that’s wholly original and not a gameplay/balance change. And that honestly might have been a mistake because damn my standards are going to be WAY too high now. The writing was by FAR my favorite part, all of the characters felt so well done and nobody in the army felt like they didn’t “deserve” to be there. The Barracks were absolutely a huge part of that too, its conversations were amazing and brought some very fun conversations out of unexpected groups. And the story itself was steller, no twist in it felt out of place and the motivations all felt extremely engaging while still leaving so many bits for us to discover for ourselves (Soter’s and Coronis’s history being a particular favorite of mine to uncover). And your use of standard FE archeotypes to make certain parts hit harder made me lose my mind. (Killing the trainee is a fucking evil move because you just KNOW people will get invested in her and I love it). And the subtle characterization that goes into even the gameplay itself is so interesting to discover too (Sandraudiga getting a higher and higher staff rank, dolus having weak stats before killing his son, Aura having a C support with Cybelle and not Nicaea).
And the gameplay from an actual playable perspective isn’t far behind in how much I love it too. The class design and how interconnected physical weapons and magic is feels so fun and opened up so many fun strategies, and I found myself playing a lot more aggresively then I expected too in a hack where the whole premise is healing being extremely limited. No unit felt pointless from a viability standpoint even on Hard mode and in general I can just see how each one can fit into someone’s final roster. Not saying there aren’t some units that are better then others, but I’ll leave tier lists like that for people better than me at the game LMAO.
All in all, amazing job!! I thoughroughly enjoyed my time with this hack and I havent even started the post game yet which I’m very much looking forward too.
The gang
So funny thing, Kyra scored a completely blank level up as her First Ever Level for me which left a very sour first impression, but my GOD if she didn’t show her stuff by the end. What else is there to say about her.
Everywhere I go people say Phobos isn’t worth using which was really surprising to me cause I swear he was one of my most consistant units?? I think they’re just not giving him enough respect. Dude was the KING of the triangle and a solid hand throughout my run. Definitely proved himself in the end.
Yes, I know druid would have been the smarter choice. But she Hectate got REALLY speed and strength blessed for me and I didn’t know if I’d get a chance to try out artificer otherwise. I dont regret it for a second, magic thieves are insanely fun and she still took Soters ass to the curb.
THE GOD QUEEN BEGOÑA! Ironically enough she got a lil strength screwed at the start but she was consistantly THE go to if I needed to turn an enemy into a corpse. One of my favorite characters both writing wise and gameplay wise.
Literally how could I not take the chance to make the blind man who heals people a giant ass armor knight. Especially when he wound up seeing way more combat then I first thought he would. It was SO worth it though, he was incredibly fun to use.
And his boyfriend isn’t far behind either. Dude was one of my best tanks for a lot of the game and was an AMAZING brave lance and brave bow user. Not much else to say about him other then how much I just really like their relationship in general.
Hestia was another INCREDIBLY solid unit through the entire game. Thunderstorm is a broken ass skill and she was one shotting so consistantly it was amaizng. And a canonically trans character in MY fire emblem?? She is simply peak.
Gave her a seraph robe and kiinda wish I made her a malog knight instead, and she had a Nasty habit of getting crit at 3 percent, but still a great unit to use and incredibly interesting character. I wound up recruiting her with agari on complete accident which made it all the more fucked up.
Nik was way better then I had given him credit for at first. Hoplite probably would have been smarter but I wanted him to keep his stupid helmit and I don’t regret it because he was landing way more crits than he ever should have and it was Glorious. Who needs Scymerius when you have this clown.
I wish her magic was a bit better but I understand why it’s not… a spirit dust was enough to help her out anyway. I love her design and backstory to much not to use her, and considering the payoff I had against archers and against Soter I absolutely made the right call. Plus, she’s REALLY pretty.
Sometimes all you need in your game is a mysterious priestess who’s maybe probably god and know’s how to get a little bit silly with it. I absolutely LOVED Demeter she’s the fucking best.
This old man has no right being as fast as he is but I’m SO glad he is because he was one of my absolute favorites to use. All I had to do was give him a single Talisman and he was virtually unstoppable. Plus, he’s just funny as fuck. Bro ragebaited Sandraudiga in her final moments how could you NOT love him.
I am a Firm believer in Lópezcoin. Dude earned me so much cash I and got way more strength growths than I ever expected him too. Absolute peak character designYou can’t just give me a sick as hell old lady with a 5 damage and attack speed aura and expect me not to use her

Now for my last unit, picture this. Its Chapter 13 and I’m still mourning my cracked Pheme. I have an extra deploymant slot and I have no idea who I should give it to. Fiadh’s an obvious answer but.. she’d be soaking up a lot of experience, that’s just not as interesting. But she does remind me of something, I have a different archer in the back of my barracks. One who’s level one and would absolutely love the growth rate boosting scroll I had been hanging onto. So I say fuck it, let’s see if she levels good.
And Thus. One of the absolute Best units in my army was crafted. Not a single stat booster fed into her other then that scroll, Au natural, chapter 13 was her training ground and she came out of it a fucking CONQUERER. I love her with all my heart.
Also, honorable mention for Releigh. I had to feed them two secret books and two goddess icons and they would still only get up to 80% hit on a good day, I tried my best man but they couldnt make it up the tower.
This is the most stacked Vasiliki i’ve ever seen holy shit, never thought i would see the day someone would unironically use her as an actual combatant and be busted. I kneel before your power
The world likes giving me the dumbest luck possible and Ive learnt how to harness it for my own purposes, Tis a boon as much as it is a curse
Luck correlates with skill after all
It’s probably late for me to say this, but I hope y’all had a merry Chirstmas
Up to Chapter 9 in my second playthrough.
Just checking, but the way you prevent Pheme from getting killed is by getting her into a promoted class with a Master Seal, right? Not simply getting her up to Fighter/Archer, I assume. And Soter being promoted or not has no effect?
Oh, and I might as well ask if promoting Soter to Black Dragoon affects him in Chapter 26.
wait, really?
Correct on both counts.
As for your last question, no, he remains a general. I had suggested resolving this discrepancy by making soter promote to a custom class in the cutscene where Dolus grants him his title, but Rubenio opted against it.
ye: it’s in the guide lol
Just finished the story and making my way through the postgame, made an account here just to say how much I loved this hack
Final Party:
Starting with best boy
I love Knoll and Pelleas, I have a thing for male darkmages who join mid/late and underleveled, so obviously I had to baby precious boy Simeon here, although I only needed to give him the metis tome and an angelic robe, he became my mvp and did the most damage to sandy with eclipse and luna (who needs greed)
my only gripe is I feel his ending slide was a bit churlish, my headcanon is that rumours of his death are a ruse while he prepares for a glorious return as ruler of all glamorgan ![]()
2nd MVP of the run
maybe its just an issue with me but I am of 2 minds with Lopez, I think there is too little gold earlygame that I felt I needed to use him, and by extension his 2 supports, which filled out all my party slots for axe users (sorry Hestia) and while looking back I probably didnt NEED to use him, I wouldnt have had any floating ‘just in case’ gold which would have made me anxious.
Regardless I did use and I loved him, I liked the added challenge of early maps to feed him kills, and giving him all the armourslayer and zanbato
a bow locked lord was a refreshing change of pace, as a character she was very compelling, and as a unit she consistently overperformed
my early game MVP, unfortunately later on he became a bit unlucky with mag level ups so I had to give a few spirit dusts on him, but that what they are for right?
I love growth units, so I adored Tiresias, he got my 2nd metis tome and after a map or 2 of feeding became a light magic smiting crit machine (why no purge for him?) also him and wulfric are so cute, give me gay characters and ill always use them
wielded wrath
best husbando, even with his crappy res (this is after 2 talismans)
wielded envy
speaking of gay couples, we now get to the 2nd best one, Euphraxia pulled her weight the whole game and I did have her marked out to wield the S -rank anima tome, until I saw it came with the gotoh to end all gotohs, and after seeing the camp convo i though fuck it, lets have 2 anima mages
Wielded Sloth
Begona my beloved ![]()
an absolute killing machine right from the start, unfortunately fango fell off a bit so i had to drop him, but Begona and Lopez became my dream team duo using her massive hp to draw out enemies with effective weapons
Also its fun to see lady brigands/berserkers
Wielded Pride
Raleigh stayed consistently good but not great most of the time, but high def is always useful so they kept a spot and they got some lucky level ups near the end, also their high con meant they even got an s-rank weapon despite not being my best dark user
Wielded Greed
Nikolas, slayer of Sandraudiga
my 2nd crit machine and he got the killing blow on the final boss
Wielded Lust
the half exp gain and bad starting stats makes him feel like a noob trap, but as a noob who loves growth units, I gladly walked into it, after some feeding and arena abuse on ch23 he was ready for the endgame. I didnt expect to love him as a character so much as well
Wielded Gluttony
y u no get magic level ups? ![]()
Demeter the demon goddess (I assume being at postgame 4x, and having her destroying kyra’s peace, making meet her enemies again, and making Thyone fight her dead son(maybe everything dolus did was to keep her sealed away and now he is dead she is unleased upon the people of tartaros one more to torment her ‘favourites’))
she was a fun character, and I really needed another flier when she appeared
And finally the hag herself
the premise of having just 1 healer was what made my try this hack, and that paid off 100%, it was a new twist on the FE formula that added a surprising amount of depth for me. I also loved the gameplay story integration on chapter 16 with her showing her full power and getting a few extra levels
as a character I broadly liked her, but I felt she was a bit too mysterious, maybe I missed but I dont think the game ever said why healing was bad, like what was the offical church reason to punish it. and later on her revelation on dolus’s immortality felt very drawn out and I dont see why she wouldnt have said anything earlier, chapter 21 I found the dialog particularly clumsy
Genius Support Interaction
I’m on Chapter 19, and Zaccheus just came onto Tessa. The usual dialogue was replaced with “Support Level… Increased…?” I thought that was funny so I checked. Zaccheus gained 2 levels of support. Tessa gained zero. LMAO
