ey I finished too
I also just finished the game and I’m just so grateful I chose this as my first romhack. This was the best fire emblem game I ever experienced and the characters will stay in my head for a long time from now on. Especially delilah and jane really grew on me, absolute Queens
Heres a little still i doodled on😇
Delilah is the only character in HiW who would stand in that weirdly excessively cartoonishly feminized female class variant stance gbafe does too. Like just to be a jerk about how she’s killing her opponent. “Haha you are drawing your dying breath to a short woman who stands like she will be unable to walk as the condition progresses!”
Real glad you’ve enjoyed the thing! Here’s hoping you’ll try out a few more romhacks next. Plenty of gems to be found in here.
Also @WiiSportsRemote that’s a lovely doodle. I like how you gave Raleigh cartonish proportions but maintained the hair.
What can I say, Raleigh’s the goat.
Final patch but can confirm that this dude can still shoot past level 20. Nothing can stop him lmao.
Now get his final skill and see his special camp convos!
See I thought that was a joke when someone mentioned it or something, but….
He has become bloodier.
I have finally, finally found it after sending Him out to attack every boss. I’m not left disappointed I think It was a really cool exchange. Dahl, someone who is very power hungry and aspires to attain power is met with Dolus the Hierophant. He almost second guesses himself
I just continued and
got the malig knight
surprised me quite much ^^
ARRIGHT!
I finished my exams, and I have a lotta time on my hands
Time to draw General Emblem
I’m at Chapter 13 so far. Is the similarity to the Rosary/Roswell scenario in Yggdra Union deliberate, or is that just a coincidence with how this particular Arran/Samson choice is set up? And were there ever plans to make Dahl and Conan still recruitable if they were spared?
I have never played Yggdra Union and only have the most cursory knowledge of its existence, so no, I can’t say there is an intentional reference there haha.
As for your second question, nope. It would defeat the point of the choice if you could just grab both of the prepromotes. You get the good vibes of not killing the decent guy on the wrong side and that’s it.
Chapter 14.
Is killing Aura another consequence-free bonus kill like Jane in chapter 12 and the Whitewings in FE11 Chapter 7, or are you actually punished for it? Given the unique retreat trigger, I assume it’s consequence-free.
Also I have no idea why you’d make a unit like Laertes unless you wanted to outdo FE12’s joke about later-recruited units being “Free Silvers”.
For Laertes, his gimmick is that once in a while he will ask you for money and he permanently gains boosts each time you pay him, i think you can gain about +8 to all stats total plus extra movement and Con
Aura
Don’t worry about Aura, nothing actually changes in the long run if she dies on chapter 14. For maximum story involvement I recommend letting her escape in this map.
Laertes
As mentioned he gets stats if you pay him. I don’t remember him gaining con but he does get movement yeah. Make sure to pay him all the way.
idk dahl is cuter in a sort of puppy way
At Chapter 15 now. I am amused that it’s been twice now you’ve put in rematch opportunities for bosses that aren’t necessary to kill. Laertes’s gimmick is indeed neat, though I wish there was an opportunity to boost weapon XP in these base convos - I still don’t have any units that can wield Silver Lances, though that might be all the focus I’ve put into my many axefighters and swordfighters while deliberately benching Scymerius and Teresa, and Wulfric constantly getting into enemy phases he can’t counterattack.
So now that I’ve apparently lost my opportunity to recruit him (Scymerius is a really fast and strong unit, and Vasiliki is free money with a bonus insane luck stat), what’s the incentive to using Fructuoso over Soter, Begoña, Fango, Agari, Alonso, Hestia and Conan?
