Did anyone else’s best boy Plato learn Astra (5 strikes at half the power, Skill% act. chance) on level up? Asking because I’ve seen other screenshots of him without this skill at even higher levels and no one has made a mention of this skill in the thread.
It was a recent addition.
Every update that Hag gets is an opportunity for Plato to transcend the intended design of the game
the level cap for him is still 20 in my version but getting him there took me like 2 actual hours with savestates how the hell did you do this
Arena in ch. 23. After a few fights he breaks through that level cap and soars above the concept of “rules”. He learns Astra at lv. 23, I think.
yeah but the arena is really hard……………………
support level bonuses and rallies persist while in arena
oh. oops
Questions :
-How many auto-levels do arena fighters gets when you enter two times with the same character ?
-Any way to win those fight reliably on hard mode ?
Remark :These fighters are stupidly strong. I am pretty sure they are breaking caps. The owner of the arena is an idiot, if he just made an army of his gladiators he would become emperor of the world in no time.
Can’t answer the first one, didn’t count.
I usually just have Barlowe Rally before every turn and then do some quick math on which unit is more likely to survive (how many turns it’ll take your unit to kill or die and which unit doubles). Pretty much all units can survive one cycle before giving up, if need be. Also lots of savestates.
Loving the game so far! I have an old version of the game that I downloaded back in June, can any version be updated to 2.1 and keep using the same save file?
Also, I noticed a possible problem when playing on an Everdrive. A unit died, and I ragequit for a bit. When I came back to the game I selected Resume Chapter on a whim… and this time the character survived. Everything else seems fine with multiple hours of gameplay, so not sure if this was intended.
Yeah, you should be able to update safely. Your saves won’t be affected.
As for the other think; either SkillSys or Expanded Modular Save, don’t remember which, have a quirk with the suspend feature. On rare occasions, quitting and resuming will change the RNG. That’s what just happened to you.
Honestly, lucky you. Usually for me all it does is kill good level ups lmao
Is this a known error?
This wall seems to have a regenerating HP bar when attacking it on this tile, but not the adjacent tile it’s linked to.
Each wall tile has its own HP. I’m not entirely sure how vanilla does it to make adjacent wall tiles share HP, because it works properly in FE6. It is what it is, just make sure to attack the same tile.
No, I mean that I tested it and every time I attacked that single space it would be right back at 50 HP in the combat readouts and in the combat itself, though the broken wall space above it would still be at the 19HP I initially hit the lower broken wall space for.
…Huh.
Interesting.
I just completed this game! There are so many things I want to say but am just overwhelmed with all sorts of emotions and can’t quite organize my thoughts at how brilliant it all was.
You’ve certainly set the bar high for these hacks. From the story and its twists and turns to the wonderful characters and gameplay mechanics, I was left audibly gasping, laughing, and crying throughout the experience. Thank you for such a wonderful product and running us through so many emotions, it was like reliving the golden age of the GBA era once again. I often forget it was “just” a fan hack as I went through it! I have not been this engaged with an FE story or game in a long time…
This has inspired me to finally start looking deeper into crafting my own stories in this medium by showing me how you can really push these games to do wonderful things. I’ll definitely be playing your other titles and taking notes! I’ve already seen a baddie Emblem for FE6 and FE8 that I’m excited to play next, since that’s a similar angle I’ve really been wanting to make a hack around. ^^
In the meantime, I doodled a quick little pic of Hecate, hopefully you don’t mind. I hope to draw some of the others some day, but she was the first one I felt like depicting.
Thank you so much for your hard work on this one! Keep up the incredible work!
Damn that’s an incredible drawing, also what did you do to Hecate? Kill Kairos?
Holy cannoli more Hecc art. That’s epic, thanks for sharing it and your impressions!
Aw thanks for the kind words. Spoilers ahead for the background of this pic:
Summary
In my mind I was imagining it was her reaction to the big betrayal and not quite able to do something about it as much as she wanted to. That moment stuck with me since I felt pretty betrayed too and didn’t see it coming! (I was suspecting others the whole time xD) So when the showdown came with the traitor eventually, she was the one who got to finish him off. A lot of emotions at once! Don’t worry, I made sure Kairos survived!! xD
