The Hag in White [COMPLETE]

How do you get the child in the house?

Have anyone rescue the child, then have them visit the house while carrying child.

Thank you

You also have to consider the 2.5 k gold extra gold you have to spend for Jason in 19 without him
So even if you don’tuse him in the longterm he staying has an use,a differentone than him leaving, but still an use.

Kidnap the child lol

Oh yeah, I didn’t include it in the known issues section but that glitch’s known. It can technically happen with any statboost convo, but this is the one where people commonly see it.

I don’t really mind - the stats sort themselves out after one round of combat, so the impact is really low compared to how much of a hassle it’d be to manually check all caps for all possible classes on every statboost convo.

Plus, as you say, in the most common instance where people will see it, it’s if anything rather appropriate haha.

My top five Hag characters

MAJOR SPOILERS INCLUDING POSTGAME

Number 5, the smelly guy himself, López. He was originally number 2, but his postgame appearance wasn’t smelly enough.

Number 4, the meter. Do I need to say more?

Number 3, the trademark child soldier of a Romhack, Pheme… you know a hack is peak when the trainee is technically the Jagen

Number 2 gotta go to our protagonist Kyra, she just epic like that

And number 1…

None other than peak herself, Sandraudiga Problem Rodriguez.

She’s so good that she joins twice in the postgame.

I dunno why I’m suddenly so curious about this (Maybe it’s just finishing the main story for the second time), but was there ever a point in development where the healing mechanics were even more different than Infinite Use Staves and one and a half staffers for the entire game? Like, was there a version of The Hag in White where we had Thracia Healing Mechanics? Were there points in development where more staffs got one time use/nods to their existence without neccessarily being available to the player for use as normal items?
(Edit: Compartmentalized Very Spoilery Question)

Spoilery Part of Question

Was there a version of the final map where instead of Silence, Apate pulled out an S Rank Staff (Likely named Vanity or Melancholy, to go with the Seven Deadly Sins naming of the other S Ranks) and its use or lack thereof could affect her ending?

Not the dev obviously but as a playtester who followed the game through most of its development, no, unless in the very early stages it was different.

Spoilery Answer

No. I remember in the original iteration of the final map, there was no special staff that Apate used. I believe it was me (it could have been someone else, but I seem to remember it being me) who suggested to Rubenio that she could pull out a special staff for the final map. That idea would be cool though I guess.

I completed Ch8 without talking to the recruitable character (thought she would recruit herself) and just realized she’s not an auto-recruit…

Legend has it that she’s still trekking across the continent looking for reinforcements

Soter carrying my run

Man. Ever since my last carry unit Pheme tragically left my team, Soter is absolutely blessed and has been carrying me! Chapter 16 has been fun, I even managed to defeat Saundradiga and rout the entire map on hard! Welp, now that that’s over, I can’t wait to get to the next chapter.

She’s just like “Hmm… is there faction infighting? I should keep going…”

I want a spinoff about what happens after she wanders off. Like, Free Knight Òrlaith ending up in Zhu or something lol . I’ll probably just make it up in my head and chuckle to myself

Órlaith stumbles into a whole other conspiracy in a different country and becomes a member and later leader of one of the factions involved, intervening in the conflict with the main goal of getting followers to bring back to Wrexham.

Returns 3 years later with 80,000 soldiers at the ready. Fiadh is extremely confused.

Okay, but I’d play this, that unironically sounds great.

great game! dont really have anything else to add so heres my team for final

SPOILERS AHEAD WATCH OUT FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING

Facetanking everything as if she were a general became the name of the game. even got her to s light! Maelstrom is maybe the third best weapon in the game (behind cleave bow and arbalest), and outright the best repair ham target. nothing much to add, shes just a flawless unit. this one got a talisman so her def and res were the same and thats it.

From facetanking early game, she always had some use outside of the healing. stuck a hoplon guard and normal rock on her and she could safely pull one enemy at least if i so wished.

Never undeployed her. she got a lot of favouritism, including the early mind scroll, and a couple boosters right near the end, but every single one of them was worth it. if i wanted someone dead, she was the girl for the job.
started the first funny and ended every single one of the second funny

Target of the second mind scroll, i kind of regret not making her a malig knight, but she still did quote good nonetheless. got the final kill on a certain someone, as well as wrath man and her sis

Almost dropped her at one point, but i kept believing. she turned out… alright, i guess? having high move is always a plus despite her lowish bulk

benched her when the margravates became force deployed, but she returned in 17 (thanks to her kyra and agari supports) and wrecked house like nobody’s business.

second staffer, got him to double s ranks like he wouldve wished

his hecate support was pretty useful, reliable and consistent 1-2 range is always nice too

got both speedwings, made great use of them. her main job lategame was decimating enemy mages during the enemy phase with segell. ALMOST dropped her, but i realised that dealing one good hit is better than nothing, and she decided to meet my trust by popping off. quite fitting considering when she started to do so (flintshire)

ended up not using bowbreaker all that much, but a 7 move unit with good magic never hurt anyone.

unbenched level 6 pluto so he could recruit his brother and trained him because “hey a second sniper would be nice”. mainstay lmao. cleave bow and arbalest are just a bit too good to pass up on lol

raliegh dominated from their join time up until 16, this man picked up their role from 17 onwards. while less reliant considering kyra got 1-2 range right around that time, he was still one of my best frontliners, and someone i could mostly trust to not be in any danger.

brought her for her fiadh support, and she ended up mattering quite a lot as well! well, not as much as, say, telemus, but still pretty good!

magic flier with leadership star. gave her the wing shield, and she would pull enemies at her own pace, with no risk of getting crit.

most of endgame he spent training his weapon ranks (he reached triple s). he still was quite good at his job of pulling one enemy, sadly i never ended up making use of resolve

white pool… yeah thats about it for her

HONOURABLE MENTION

the man, the myth, the legend. kept my savings affloat before money became easier to get by, then promoted and killed stuff pretty well! benched due to his deceptively poor accuracy, and because lorenzo would contribute more. wouldnt have gotten through without him or polonius, though!

uh yeah hop on hag its peak

This has to be one of the few times I see someone using one of the holy riders. And I would say looking her stats that maybe great knight for better promo bonuses and savior would be better because you aren’t using anima outside Earthquake with those stats. It is worse than the Dark Knight version of Great Knight but not a bad class.

Can confirm how useful Great Knight Agari is, though this hack is a rare case where the Cavs don’t feel that good to use… Which I genuinely kinda like, very often, even in just base FE, Cavs feel like cheating because they’re at least as good as other units but have 3 extra movement and one more weapon type they can use for no apparent reason. Cavs need much more careful balancing.
