Thanks for providing so much entertainment!

Hi, I’m paprikamayo! I’ve been lurking here for a year and I’d like to be more active. I’m not looking to make anything creative, I’d just like to comment more on topics, provide feedback and such. But it’s kinda scary at times!

My secret is that I’m not a lifelong Fire Emblem fan… I actually disliked the series for so long, thinking it’s not for me. I did play all the 3DS entries and Three Houses, but they were just alright at best.

Two years ago, I moved together with my husband and was too lazy to move my PC for a long time. I gave FE6 a try and… idk, it just clicked really hard. Tried the other two GBA games, liked them even more. Got my PC here, literally played all the Fire Emblems and while I didn’t love all of them equally, I was so hooked!

I’m getting older and don’t have as much free time as I used to. For some reason, Femblems are so chill to play that I’ve been with them almost exclusively for last two years. I love ironmans, no grinding, planning a run long term on the go and snappy, fast paced decisive combat. No other series has been able to provide so easy-to-get-into yet satisfying entertainment as Fire Emblems!

  • My favorite entry of the mainline series is Engage, I really like the gameplay, maps and the vibes!
  • I dislike Kaga games, though I do appreciate them!
  • My guilty pleasure is bow-users, I’m really glad lots of romhacks here have made GBA archers so much better.
  • I have a crush on most green cavaliers.
  • Drums of War is probably my favorite fangame, though Dream of Five is probably taking it over after I’ve soon finished the second playthough.

Anyways, thanks for providing so much entertainment for me!

As someone who has lurked for a longtime myself, congrats on joining in! I’m glad you were able to eventually find a later click with the series, it’s strange how life can sometimes throw a lot at once and then a nice curveball every so often.

Hope you enjoy stepping into topics whenever you feel up for it and finishing your second run of Do5. Experimenting with different units thanks to the route split was really fun and it’s neat how hacks can bring together certain units that have you leave your comfort zone a little out of interest in seeing supports and the like.

Dream of Five … characters portraits art details glow up when you changing class … that’s nowhere to be seen yet …

Welcome to FEU. While I didn’t really hate the FE series (even when they did end up having a ton of characters in Smash Bros) I also didn’t have an interest in that franchise till three years ago, and ever since I did pick quite a liking to it.

Anything you do here Is fine too (as long as it’s nothing offensive or bad. I’d know). We’ll be glad to have you here.
