i feel like you think you’re being respectful but you aren’t - this is someone else’s interpretation of a character. they have no reason to adhere to whatever canon you or whoever made up in their head, and this theoretical crowd of people who hate the idea of gay tales is not real, you created it to justify soft homophobia. the reason you have a problem with it is because it’s a gay relationship, which is something you need to get over. non-straight people and their relationships exist.

True. In the end, it’s fanon, it doesn’t have to adhere too much to the official canon. That way, it can explore or introduce themes and stories that the main ones wouldn’t (even if that also includes the borderline NSFW ones, warts and all).

it’s also interesting that you only bring up my game going against Sega’s stance on forbidding romance when you find out that it’s mostly going to be gay, but not when IYNH brought up the heterosexual pairings.

Not true. A game made for you, is a game made for you. Whomever the “you” is. Doesn’t matter if someone will download this, play it, and either like it or not like it, at the end of the day SOMEONE will like it. Hence it’s made for them. Character relationships will most likely have very little impact, and if anything it’ll just be noted as “Hmm, that’s different.” Because it’s really not that big of a deal.
Also, “whole thing Sega kinda established” really doesn’t mean a whole lot when people are known to take established things and mess around with them. That’s why headcanons exist. You don’t have to like it, no one’s saying you have to like it. The point is: doesn’t matter what Sega established, just like it doesn’t matter what name a corpo here established, because there’s a whole motley crew of people that exist out there that change things.

Do you not get how you sound? Bringing up a fact that that some people can’t handle Tails being gay, is pointless by itself, but nothing too crazy. But then following it up with this ominous nonsense paints you in a bad light. You come off as if you want Gouda to change Tails to be straight to appeal to the boogie men, lest this fan game appeal to no one!!! Oh no, what horror!
This is how you come off, but you’re also dancing around the issue. You can’t say: “hey, change Tails to be straight” because it would obviously sound kinda homophobic. So you then make up this group of people who care so deeply about Tails’s sexuality that they will not play the game and for some reason the creator of this fan project should care about them?

Fan projects shouldn’t have to constrain themselves to fit into canon. Otherwise we’d have to answer stupid questions like “Why is Knuckles here and not guarding the all-important Master Emerald on the floating Angel Island? Why is Blaze here and not in her own dimension fighting Eggman Nega? Will the dimensions collapse now that she is here? What is Silver doing here? Where are the Time Stones? Will Captain Rescue show up?”.

Anyway on more important note,
How many honses will the game have? I havent seen many mounts in the preview so far, only 1 mounted flier and 1 troubador.
Trip is an Axe Cav, Mighty is a Lance Cav, and Vector is a Great Knight, Elise is a Troubadour, Sticks is a Nomad. Blaze promotes to Mage Knight, and a secret character can be any basic class, including horses.

Didn’t think Trip would be an axe cav, since she’s all armored and stuff, but I’m up for it. More variety for the playable classes.
