it depends.
usually i use Photoshop for sprites like mugs, battle frames, backgrounds, etc, but for working on animated gifs i use ImageReady, wich is always a product by Adobe.
with ImageReady, i can process entire gifs in order to resize them, change color limits, and even add new frames when needed.
it is quite helpful for pixel animations and making gifs in general, but if you want to build a pixel animation from zero, then you would probably work better with Photoshop by doing single frames.
I see.
I was actually interested in using Adobe products such as Illustrator as a class when I was in high school, and I wanted to buy it for my personal use. However, the price is so high that it is hard to purchase. How much do you pay for ImageReady and PhotoShop each month? I’m thinking of buying them soon so that I can use them not only for creating animations but also for creating letters and postcards that I need in my daily life.
Oh, and can Adobe be purchased from Microsoft?
i’m not paying anything because i’m not using their latest softwares.
i’ve been using the older versions of Photoshop CS and ImageReady from waaay back, when i was still going at school( we’re talking about…15 years ago, more or less ).
those were given to me by a teacher for graphic design purposes, so yeah, i basicly got them for free.
in terms of learning curve, Photoshop isn’t exactly user friendly.
it has many features that you’ll have to learn in order to properly work with it, but after you start to practice and test all the different options and effects, it gradually becomes easier to use the more you work with it.
as for the price, i honestly have no idea how much you would have to pay for the latest version of Photoshop.
you could always check the Microsoft store or the official Adobe website to see how much it would cost you to purchase the most recent software, or you could look around for older and cheaper versions.
usually electronic stores tend to have at least a couple of those softwares for sale. even if they might be considered obsolete, they should still work more than fine.
I see. Thank you for the details.
I will check the price again and think about whether to buy it.

Lately I’ve been busy, and I finally finished the ExFire animation I’ve been steadily working on.
Now all that is left is for me to create MeteorFire and I will release it to the public.
Meteor
Hey everyone, it’s been a while.
I know it’s a little late, but I’d like to offer a hot Fire Christmas present from me.
I made a fireball-type animation using the free GIF images that Fenreir edited for me. It is, of course, F2U/F2E and is compatible with both CSA and FEditor.
However, the flashing and blinking is colored directly on the image, so if you want to recolor it, you will have to edit the image from scratch.

(´︶`) Thanks!
As requested, I modified it with several frames that were provided to me.
The change is in the motion of the evils being summoned.

This is a triumph!
I apologize for the rather late notice.
Fixed a bug that caused the spell animation to end halfway when an attack misses.
@7743 has recolored it in a beautiful blue color, and I will publish it here.

Incidentally, I’m currently working on reworking the FE8 sacred spell animation, which I left incomplete.
I’m starting with Gleipnir (๑•̀⌄ー́๑)b
That’s Exfire when imported into FEBuilder. What’s track 012D supposed to be? I tried importing the animation in FE8 and then 7 too, but it’s empty in both. It’s used twice in the animation.
012D seems to be used in FE6, but it’s labeled as unknown in FEBuilder and can’t be played in the sound program. It just gives an error message when I try.
I assume the localized versions moved some audio or something around, because the animation audio works in your video of a presumably JP rom. If it’s supposed to be Forblaze audio or something it can be repointed there easily enough, I just need to know what sound it’s supposed to be.
Alrighty, thank you kindly for the info! Now that I updated the sound effect to Forblaze charging, the animation works perfectly and sounds wonderful!
Awesome work as always!
Wow they are looking even better than I first imagined when you told me about them.
You did a great job!!
(´︶`)Thanks!
To be honest, vanilla GBAFE does that when Fire/Elfire misses the target so I don’t understand why you had to change that.
But putting that aside, I really adore your works, SHYUTERz! Admittedly, I have plans with some of your spell anims for my hack
Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks for your support!
Good luck with your own hack too! |•’-’•)و✧
For now, I’ve finished the CSA animations for Gleipnir, Excalibur and Ivaldi. I’m planning to create animations for recreating Sacred Tome in FE8, focusing mainly on the recolor.
I changed the colors to Ivaldi’s Starlight style.
It’s like the Kamehameha from Dragon Ball !!
