Hello, everyone. Shadow Dragon is my favorite FE game, and I’ve recently been hacking it a lot. That got me thinking about doing a PME. So, that’s what this is!
Since Shadow Dragon doesn’t have nearly the same community or tools around it as GBA FE, the edits I can make are somewhat limited. Things that are easy to edit are:
Characters (bases, growths, weapon levels)
Classes (bases, growths, weapon levels, movement type, what class promotes to what)
Reclass sets, though you can’t have more than 10 in one set (there are unused ones so I can add many more reclass sets)
Items (stats, effects like Magic or Brave)
Special bonus to class or character (+5-15% hit, crit, or Thief’s unlocking)
Class types (like considering cavaliers as dragons to make them weak to Wyrmslayer)
Boss data, character inventories, enemy inventories (including droppable items)
Any edits within those constraints are allowed, and I will be playing through the game on Hard 2 Ironman (I’m bad.) Each person is allowed 2 edits per day, and I’ll be releasing the patch so you can play it yourself. Tell me your submissions, I’m excited to see where this goes! Also, if you want to edit something that isn’t mentioned, ask about it and I’ll say if I can edit it or not (I might have missed something.)
We’re on day five! Everyone may submit 2 more edits. I will keep this post up for a while, because there aren’t enough edits yet for my liking.
@IsPrism I remember another PME of Shadow Dragon that had custom portraits for units.
Will it also be able to submit custom portraits for this one? As well as more basic stuff like custom text for weapons and the like.
I’ll submit some edits later on!
Update: After a lot of work, I’ve managed to figure out how to import custom portraits into the DSFEs! I’ve crated a new topic talking in depth about it, should be on the new ones in FEU.
custom text, swapping weapon icons, swapping portraits are available. If you have resources for inserting custom portraits, PLEASE tell me. I’ve been trying to figure that out for a very long time.
