So as the title details, as a person using Ryoma as there profile picture, I gotta ask: What do you all believe to be Ryoma Best pairing? Personally I believe Setsuna (Best Girl) is the best option, as that’s what I paired Ryoma with in most of my runs. But I wish to gauge opinions, and improve for my Birthright Lunatic run.
Kagero. It does depend if you playing revelations or not. Also because Kargero out of the three ninjas is the strong one out of the three. So she will also be effective in combat.
If you’re focusing on Ryoma’s combat performance, the classic pairing is Rinkah for the excellent +STR +DEF Oni Chieftain pair-up bonus, plus potentially access to Lancebreaker from Blacksmith.

Also on the Rinkah train, at least for Birthright. Rinkah’s stats leave much to be desired, but her Oni Savage class gives Ryoma more Strength and Defense, which are stats he could always use more of due to being the best combat unit in the game.* Had Scarlet been supportable for him, I would’ve said her, but they regrettably don’t support.
For Revelations, I imagine it’s much the same, but Scarlet can be swapped for Camilla. Just ignore the fact that Camilla is probably better as a combat unit in her own right.
*he’s arguably the best unit in Birthright, but that point is more up for debate.
You all are probably right Rinkah is a really good backup unit, problem with her for me is 1.) I haven’t gotten any levels with her, cause for your only Oni she sucks. 2.) I married Rinkah with Hineta. So limits things, but I can technically still A rank them. On Kagero I did marry her to Ryoma in my first birthright playthrough, and I do believe Shiro turned out decent? I don’t exactly recall. So I’ll remember that advice.
I’ll throw my hat into the ring as a diehard rev player. Camilla makes a pretty busted Shiro in the long term. I can’t say much for birthright because i prefer rev overall.
Rinkah is fine. HP Tonic during the mission to activate her passive and she just stomps things regardless of her middling Str growth (in class)
Past that her Oni class is one of the most absurd backpacks in the game.
Rev only opens up Camilla and Elise, and neither help with much besides Wyvern Lord access… unless you really want Shiro to run Basara, then Elise is the only legitimate way for Basara to be functional.
