New Fire Emblem Dev platform

Hey guys,

I am an ITer. Not super good with dev (IT project manager) but I do have knowledge. I am currently trying something with gotot: a new Fire Emblem platform to create FE inspired games.

I feel like the current existing platform are too restrictive (memory usage, sizing, …)

The idea is that you provide a backdrop image, set the grid size, place enemies based on a list of classes,…

Currently I have something ugly and used AI. It has the basic mechanism but for the battle animation.

But if some people are interested I can open a git and we can work on it together.

Just be sure to stay away from the Fire Emblem intellectual property and I will be interested to see how this progresses.

Edit: if you manage to make an srpg maker type thing that doesn’t feel derivative of Fire emblem, and works well as a general tool for map-based strategy games, that would be not only very impressive, but something that the space is missing right now.

I am creating everything from scratch. Not sure what is dodgy for intellectual property thou. Class name, some mechanics that is protected,…?

As a test for the platform I am making a more assassin oriented scenario with specific classes and weapons. So on that side I am fairly confident it is okay.
