Mapping Mapaganza! A New Mapping Contest!

Inspired by Map Contests hosted by Dancer, I present to you, the latest mapping contest!
Mapaganza is a fun and competitive mapping contest to bring mappers from the community together, as well as showcase how talented the community is! Mappers will be tasked with making a map based on the prompts, once they’re done they’ll submit it to my discord: theatlas0817. Once the judges have cast their votes, the winner will be crowned: The Mapaganza Champion! It’s that simple!

I will be looking for five judges! If you want to judge the maps that get submitted, message me!

Judge Application Due: August 30th, 2024
Mapping Contest Start Date: September 1st, 2024
Mapping Contest End Date: September 30th, 2024

Mappers, here is your prompt:

Mappers are to create a Village/Port Map. You can use any tileset you want, as well as any palettes you desire. All Maps need to be 21x21 tiles and must include a shop, armory, and an arena. Does it offer unique gameplay options?), Technical Details (Are there any height errors? Does the map provide shading?), and Creativity (How unique is the map?).

Other Rules:

  • Maps must be fresh and new. You are not allowed to dig up and reuse old maps. Additionally, you are not allowed to borrow elements from maps from other hacks.

  • You must stay within the 21x21 size limit.
  • You can use any map palette of your choice.
  • Maps that are submitted past the due date will receive a deduction in their score.
