Looking for Fire Emblem games for my Ironman

Hello everyone
I’m Profebolter, I’ve played many games with some challenges with the maximum difficulty. Some times I play with certain characters, some times without deaths, but of all times I usually play it on Ironman (This is not an introduction).

I’m here, because I’m looking for Fire Emblem Hacks to play,
To play it in the future with Ironman Rules.

I know there is Fire Emblem Fangame Directory, that shows all the games that have already been completed, that are in progress, or have been cancelled. And even, there is the tag of “complete_project”. And I’ve been looking at quite a lot of them.

The problem is that I don’t know which ones I might be interested in, and I know there are quite a lot.
And they usually show a little bit of gameplay, screenshot, etc.
But they don’t give me much information about the game itself.

So I want to ask the community, since you are the ones who have also played a lot of games, to give me your opinion, which game do you like, which games have you played with Ironman rules, which game has attracted you and what would you like to play it again in the future, among other things (all related to Fire Emblem, so there is no confusion).

This is exactly what I’m looking for:

-Hacks of Fire Emblem 6, 7, 8 (That is what I usually play it) (Including Tactile and Lex Talonis projects)
-The game is completed
-No Demake/Remake of Fire Emblem (And it’s not for despise, it’s that I already have some that I’m playing it)

FE7x isn’t a romhack (it also isn’t finished), so does that mean you’re including Tactile and Lex Talonis projects?

Seriously though, easily my favorite hack of 2024. There’s a huge cast, and pretty much all of them are creative and endgame viable. The maps are really fair and while it’s not the hardest hack I’ve ever played it’s still quite fun.

To be honest, I don’t remember much about FE7x. I downloaded the game over 10 years ago.
And I didn’t know it wasn’t a RomHack. Sorry for my ignorance.

And yes, I’m going to include Tactile and Lex Talonis projects

I see that you’ve played Justice & Pride and SOTF so I would recommend Justice & Pride Gaiden. Very SOTF-inspired and the difficulty is around SOTF hardmode. It’s been awhile since I’ve played it though.

Dream of Five DE was the perfect ironman hack for me. Super enjoyable time.

Similarly, I would also suggest Sacred Stones Reforged on Lunatic (no overworld encounters) with an ironman ruleset. (I know you said no remakes but I’m still gonna recommend giving it a shot)

There’s also Iron Emblem Gaiden. Another excellent ironman experience

I blind ironmanned A Vestrian Tale, which suited it very well. I’ve ironmanned Drums of War and Dream of Five as well, and designed both with it in mind, but that’s with dev insight, so… grain of salt.

Touhou emblem is on my list. Haven’t actually gotten around to play it yet but any hack that touts a huge cast with replacement units if enough die sounds perfect
