[Lex Talionis] Project Summit [5 Chapter Demo Available] [3 Routes Planned]

Team Contrary presents its first ever FE fangame. Our team consists of several FE enthusiast friends who came together with several ideas to create our personal passion project. We hope that you all enjoy the hard work that has gone into developing Project Summit and we’re excited to share the full project once it’s completed.

Trailer now available here!

Six kingdoms were once watched over by two goddesses who granted their blessings and provided the world with bountiful harvests. However, one goddess would eventually die, leaving the other to take over both roles. Unfortunately, with her limited power, this meant that only three kingdoms could receive her blessing at a time, leaving the remaining three to fall to famine. Only after a decade would she switch sides and grant the famished kingdoms her blessing, leaving the formerly blessed kingdoms to become famished. This cycle would continue on for centuries to come.

Eventually, a group of founders came together to create a system that allowed the six kingdoms to negotiate and develop alliances to ensure that the blessings could be shared with all. Their descendants would continue this tradition which would come to be known as the summit.

A decade has come to an end, and a new cycle begins. The kingdoms of Granmere, Zimagora, and Almadera have now begun to prosper with their blessing while the kingdoms of Kentranos, Rimalat, and Kyofu no Shima slowly begin to decay.

The story follows Mythrias, the second prince of Kentranos, who has recently been chosen as the kingdom’s representative for the summit after his older brother, Corvus, abdicated his position following his failure to protect their harvests from a neighboring kingdom during the previous decade. Mythrias, along with his younger sister Faline and several allies, undertakes a journey across the continent to meet with the representatives of each country, hoping to gain alliances and cure a longstanding family curse to ensure the people of Kentranos can survive through the next decade.

Known Issues/QoL Limitations
  • Using Rochade with a flier can place Mina on normally inaccessible tiles (ex: water tiles)
  • Crispin can activate Apprehend on himself under certain circumstances (ex: attempting to activate against bosses with status immunity)
  • Some ranged attacks use 1 range animations
  • Certain hidden events/related conversations are incomplete/still in development and will be updated in future releases

Our team is new to the rom hacking experience and continues to grow as we develop the skills to create a game that we hope players will enjoy. We are interested in adding custom character portraits to the project, but we currently lack team members with experience in this area. As such, we would like to extend this opportunity for those interested in contributing to take part in the project. Please feel free to send any inquiries through the comments, DMs, or Discord (directed to BluechanXD who can be found through the FEU discord server).

I see Avalon Code and Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle in the music credits, I download. But no seriously, the FEE3 trailer was impressive and it’s always awesome to see other cool projects made with LT-Maker! I’m definitely trying this out when I have the time

Glad to hear you liked the video! Hope you enjoy the game!

Our team was really impressed with what Nin was able to accomplish with the trailer so props to him! Also great to see someone else who recognizes Avalon Code! That game has so many good songs but I had to stop myself from grabbing the entire OST for our game.

Supports and paired endings are probably some of my favorite things in FE so I had to add them! There’s definitely going to be more than my initial 120 individual conversations estimate so wish me luck since I’m writing them all plus the story!

Their my favorite part of Fire Emblem too!!! Knowing you are fellow support enthusiast makes me even more excited

Sounds like a huge undertaking so seriously good luck! I am excited to play this someday . I don’t typically play LT since I can’t abuse save state lol but I will for sure give this a try!

I learned about this hack from Moona/Cords, so I decided to give it a try. I’ve made it to chapter 3 and decided to write this comment for now, it’s pretty fun so far though I did notice some minor issues. Mainly that some of the dialogues read very strangely in English, they get the meaning across but the whole sentence itself feels like a skinwalker. The exposition slide at the start of the hack scrolls way too quickly, which leads to a pretty uncomfortable reading experience. The text at the start of ch 1. clipped out of the game window. That’s about all for now, they’re very minor issues, so it probly wont take too long to deal with. I’ll be following this hack from now on, very interested to see what you guys have cooking.

Thank you for trying out the demo! Some of the feedback we’ve received has been very similar regarding the intro slides and the between battle lines cutting off. We’re currently in discussion about making some changes to these sections so there will be an update to them!
