Hello, FEU! I recently learned of Lex Talionis, and that got me motivated to start working on a Fire Emblem project of my own. I’m fairly new to pretty much everything about making a project, and am looking to get some early feedback.
The game is currently playable up to the end of Chapter 2. You can technically go to Chapter 3, but its very much so incomplete and you literally cant beat it. I also havent playtested that much at all, so I’d generally reccomend not touching that. If you play and want to give feeedback, please check the bottom of this post for the things I really want to hear about.

Features
Personal Skills:
My project has skills in it, but only as Personal Skills, and skills on bosses/notable generics. Some of these are unique skills, but some of them are skills that already exist in the official games.
Base:
After Chapter 2 (Which you can technically see, though its all unfinished.) you unlock the Base, which will be available between most Chapters. It has Base Conversations and the Codex in it. Base Conversations are ranked as A, B, and C. A and B rank Base Conversations can have many rewards, from EXP, weapons, or even new Lore entries.
Codex:
An in game lorebook/mechanics explainer! If you select “Library” you’ll be greeted by various lore entries. If you select “Guide” it will explain mechanics that are more background.
Doubling Threshold:
Duskwatch currently has a Doubling Threshold of 1, meaning that as long as you have more AS, you’ll double the foe.
Early Manakete:
You have a Manakete (though in the world of Duskwatch, they are just known as Dragons) from the start! They’ll carry you through the first few maps with the use of their “Light Stone” which is a tanking Dragonstone that is also effective against Monsters, then they’ll quickly join the ranks as a normal units. A lot of their stats are held up in Dragonstones, so they have very poor EXP gains.
Supports:
Supports in Duskwatch function on the Path of Radiance system. (This means that in the current build none of them are obtainable.)
1 Damage Minimum:
Pretty self explanatory, you can never take 0 damage.
Known Issues
If you skip the first cutscene on the world map, you’ll have the narration text box appear until you get to the start of gameplay. This is a Lex Talionis bug, which I have brought to the attention of the engine devs. There might be a workaround, but its not in the build I’m uploading today.
Animation on the Dragon is kinda jank. I’ll be trying to adjust that soon.
Lex Talionis Quirks
RNG is seeded per file in Lex Talionis. At least for level ups. This means that if you play Chapter 1, and the lord gets a +HP, +STR, +DEF level up and then you “Restart Chapter”, she will always get that level up. I don’t know the exact details, but essentially my understanding is that as soon as you recruit someone their levels are “locked in” and doing different actions in a chapter wont change the level.

I used different songs from a bunch of games! Mostly FE so far but theres one or two non-FE tracks. In the soundroom all the songs have the title of the game and the track name. So check that out!
What I Want Feedback On
Here’s some questions I’d like answered! if you have feedback not pertaining to these, I’d still love to hear it though!
Do the chapters feel like you need to play them a certain way, or do you feel like you can play in different ways?
Do you think the Anti-Turtle on the first map is too strict? Or is it too lenient? Do you think it just shouldn’t be there?
Are the enemies too weak to pose a threat in the first map? What I’m aiming for is that unless you expend resources (like the Mercenary’s strong PRF weapon) the units who arent the Manakete/Armor Knight are in danger if you play recklessly.
Are any of the features of the game or events on the map not telegraphed well?
