“Isekai Idea for Fire Emblem”

I’ve been looking for somewhere to post this, so if you’ve made it this far, my apologies. I wanted to share an idea I’ve had in mind in case a hack ROM creator, writer, or editor is interested in turning it into an actual project.

The idea would be an isekai story set in the world of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.

The protagonist would be someone from our world named Yasha. I know it might sound like an unusual name, but I wanted to avoid the more common or cliché names.

Yasha was an ordinary person from our world who one day wakes up in the middle of a meadow without knowing how he got there. He’s wearing a tunic and carrying a small sword, although I’m still unsure whether he should actually keep the sword or instead be primarily a mage, or perhaps a mixed class.

As he walks around, he starts moving his hands and trying to concentrate, almost as if his body knows that he can do something that he himself doesn’t understand yet. Then something happens that he never could have imagined: he ends up summoning two creatures that he immediately recognizes as monsters from The Sacred Stones: a Gargoyle and a Gorgon.

Yasha decides to give them names:

- Diablos, for the Gargoyle, because of its demonic appearance.

- Melodious, for the Gorgon, because her appearance somewhat reminds him of a mermaid or a Medusa-like creature.

And that’s where the adventure begins.

Yasha knows that he’s in the world of The Sacred Stones, but he doesn’t understand why he can summon monsters, why he possesses dark magic, or why he was transported to this world in the first place. His initial goal would be to discover what is happening and find an explanation for his existence in this strange world.

The problem is that his ability to control monsters makes practically everyone suspicious of him.

Because of this, he would end up being pursued by both sides: those who believe he’s connected to evil and those who simply see his powers as a threat. In other words, he’d have trouble with both the forces of Renais and the forces of Grado.

As for the human character who would have the strongest connection with Yasha, I currently have two possibilities in mind: Nami, the archer, or Natasha. One of them could become his first major ally and the person who comes to understand him the most, especially after realizing that Yasha isn’t actually an enemy despite his strange powers.

I don’t consider myself particularly good at putting stories like this together or creating a hack ROM myself, so I thought that perhaps someone in this community—especially a writer, editor, or hack ROM creator—might be able to take this idea and turn it into an actual project.

I’d like to leave this idea here and see if anyone would be interested in making the project.

The only requirement I have is that I receive credit for the original idea.

Other than that, you are free to develop the story however you want based on this premise. I’d simply like the story to remain focused on Yasha, the characters who accompany him, the allies he meets along the way, and his first ally, as mentioned above, Nami or Natasha.

From there, you can decide whether to add other female characters, create original female characters for the group, or develop the characters and their relationships however you prefer.

You can also decide how Yasha himself works as a playable character. He could be a pure summoner, specializing in dark magic and monster summoning, or you could make him a mixed character who can also use swords, bows, or other weapons.

In short, the only requirement is that I receive credit for the idea. Everything else is up to whoever decides to make the project. You can change, expand, or develop the story however you want, as long as the basic premise and Yasha as the protagonist remain.

If you want to make Yasha some kind of weird or unexpected character—like making him completely crazy or giving him some bizarre characteristic—go ahead. :joy:

Anyway, that’s all I ask.

Thanks for reading my idea.

Oh, I wasn’t expecting 40 views and for someone to actually reply XD. But anyway, if you want, I can give you the idea. Although, you’re, like… a hacker, right?

If you go through every person on planet earth, I think the person who wants this idea made the most is gonna be you lol. Being bad at writing or mapping or gaming never stopped someone who wants their project finished. I dont wanna dash your dreams too hard, but people don’t like working for free on ideas that ain’t there’s.

The good news is febuilder is actually pretty easy to use! Check it out lol

That is not a hacker. That is Dooblerino. And we love them for that.

I understand—thanks for the reply. The reason I mention it is that I have an old PC running Windows XP, so I’m not sure how well it would work on that, but thanks anyway, my friend.

I don’t even have a PC but I’m still working on my idea with an Android phone.

oh that’s very good bro luck

Adding onto what’s already been said, as someone who got into writing a fan game narrative after spending years writing for a hobbyist script writing community, I actually have a bit of insight to share when it comes to requesting others to make content on your behalf.

It’s pretty common in the script writing community to see people making requests for others to write scripts for them, but you’re very unlikely to see someone take on a project like that unless the writers themselves are asking for ideas. Generally, the recommendation is always to write it yourself, even if you don’t think you’re going to make a good product, since it’s also a good learning experience.

And if that isn’t feasible, the next option is commissioning someone, which can get very expensive very quickly, depending on what you’re asking for. Some writers will charge by the word, and you’ll see anywhere from $15-$30 or more for a single script. On average you’ll get about 1000-1500 words per script. This in itself is small in comparison to a full game, but these are the sort of expectations anyone should have when requesting content in any creative medium. Essentially, if a few thousand words are enough for someone to ask for compensation, imagine what is expected of a full game.

Not counting art, music, chapter implementation, etc, you’re looking at thousands of hours and hundreds of thousands of words just on writing alone, which in itself is a massive commitment. This not only includes story dialogue, but also supports, item and skill descriptions if you’re making new ones, etc.

As of right now, in my own fan game’s writing process, I’ve written well over 200k words, and I’d say I’m around 60% done. I do writing, artwork, and music for the project and I’ve been at this for about 3 or so years now. This isn’t counting the work that the rest of my team has put into the project.

So really, keep in mind that any sort of request is a very massive expectation, especially if they’re not being compensated for it. There’s a lot that goes into making a game that isn’t just the writing process or map development, and it’s a huge time commitment for anyone.

If this narrative is important to you, I’d suggest looking into a medium that’s feasible for you to work with. I have a lot of ideas I’d love to turn into webcomics, but I realized it wouldn’t be feasible for me to draw so much or put out quality that I think would be serviceable for the medium. I still practice drawing to improve, in case I decide to do it someday, but I’ve mostly taken a different approach with my stories and turned them into a few thousand words scripts instead.

I know from experience that there’s an audience for any story out there. Even if no one decides to use your idea for an FE fan game, definitely take some time to refine it and find a medium that works well for you to get your idea out for others to see and enjoy.

Thanks a lot, friend. I’ll see whether to make it a ROM hack or a proper fanfic—thanks for the advice.
