Introduction and question :)

Hi everyone, I found fe universe while browsing for fire emblem stuff and saw that it was a full fledged community, so I decided that I wanted to join and be a part of this community!!

My question is about making music loop in fire emblem builder, I can’t figure it out.
I tried using anvil studio and adding the [ and ] cues, and then mid2agb doesn’t open for some reason. I am trying to loop a Nintendo ds song, I already have the midi and the way I want it to sound, I just need help with making it loop.
Any help is so appreciated and glad to be here!!

Hey there. It’s because you need a character within the first bracket and after the second one, like [.(song)]. (Note the period after the second bracket)

Or, that’s at least what I’ve always done!

Hi there! How are you saving your midi file after adding the cues to the parts you want looped? There should be an option to export MIDI-Format 0 file and just click okay after the prompt. You should be able to add that file into FEB and it will loop.

I just press “save as” and select midi and name it.

“Save As” doesn’t save your loop data. You need to select “export MIDI-Format 0 file” in order for it to save properly. Then it can be added to FEB with a proper loop.

Thanks! I got it working now.
I’ll see about posting a snippet of the song I made on here soon
