A passionate rom hacker would probably want to do the stuff that AI is replacing. Think about it like how AI is taking away opportunities for jobs and things like that.

Yes exactly and this role allows them to do just that. We don’t use to AI for anything that a human would be able to do better, even the art

It’s in response to one of your posts but I’d say as of this moment Ai art is mostly used for concepting and moodboarding. All of our sprites and maps are handcrafted and painted by artists. Any generated splash illustrations that makes it to the final version of the game has to pass our quality bar.
Weird avenue to be recruiting on.
I recommend maybe doing some actual marketing for your products, and not going to a forum of FE fangame nerds. We all aren’t going to be very interested, I promise you that much.

Some people hear “ai” and have a strong reaction to it. I think the job posting sounds reasonable. Personally I have a good job and would not be able to relocate anyway, but it’s cool to see the posting.

Eh if its a.i then human fixed its a blend of the two I enjoy but if its uncreative a.i or fully a.i I absolutely hate it the only a.i full thing id accept is voice overs and thats because I repsect someone wanting to keep their irl voice off the internet(my hot take in this)

I’m sincerely curious. Were you unaware that the vocal opinion in FEU is anti-AI, or did you already know and didn’t care? I can see generative AI researchers just getting used to it and tuning it out. Depending on where you go, it can only go sideways.
I’m far from being in the majority here and I definitely can’t speak for the mods, but I still wanted to say sorry for some of the reactions you got. It looks like you managed to get some good out of it though, so hopefully it wasn’t all bad.

i have a strong reaction to this because i draw as a hobby, and take art quite seriously. I dont want other peoples works scraped from sites and used to train gen AI. I have no issues with AI that does medical/data stuff. Also gen ai takes so much more energy its insane
