Can someone please help me with my character portrait I keep trying to take my character model and give him gilliams armor from his portrait but it never takes correctly

Then why not work with this commissioned artist, who definitely exists, to touch it up? Itâs not great policy to just ask the masses to âhelpâ the work of a very real artist like that. Whatâs their name?

And then the truth. Itâs less beautiful since in your screenshots you expose the person who helped you, so I recommend either removing the screenshot (which you had no obligation to show) or editing it to hide their username and picture, even if itâs too late now.
Anyway, as they said in your DM, the portrait wasnât properly formatted for GBA in the first place, which, among other things, meant that the head is too big to just be pasted on a vanilla portrait.
Youâll need to resize it, which will mean having to fix it again after that. Then there are plenty of fixes youâll have to do with shading, anti-aliasing, etc. Youâll also have to make the frames and mini portrait, following the template they showed you in the DM (which we tend to call the âhackboxâ).
I did the resizing for you, as well as some repaletting to keep it consistent with vanilla FE8 portraits, but thereâs still much to improve like I said. If you want to learn, I recommend joining the Discord server and asking in the spritans channel. I myself have received help there after having genAI make slop for me, so there exists nice and helpful people there, despite what the vocal minority might lead you to believe. Good luck!

I think you misread. I never said the image was AI-generated. Just opening the image and seeing that itâs pixel perfect with no more than 16 colors would already be enough to make a very reasonable doubt (and I say doubt because thereâs already a pretty good pixel-perfection algorithm out there for genAI images, so itâs not 100% certain).
I recommended you removing the screenshot or at least the name and portrait of the person who made the image to not expose them.

I mean, whatever, plenty of people do that, but itâs false to claim that AI wasnât involved
Also I do think the responses were like, kinda useless just for the sake of airing that they donât like AI usage when they could have just ignored you and left you lonely in a damp cave full of rare cave specimens and aquatic snails
