Greetings From An Enjoyer Of Mature Games

Hi! Hello! So this is my introduction!
I’m a kind of person that comes around and goes around in real life, always trying new things.
But what I actually want to talk about is what types of games I play: basically I enjoyed playing games that have mature themes, those being: Dark Souls (finished all three mainline), Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 1, Fallout New Vegas, etc.
My recent surprise game-that-I-loved was Disco Elysium!

Besides that, I also played a lot of DnD. Played a lot of 5e campaigns before my group was disbanded. I’ll not say what actually happened, but… well, from my experience in tabletop games, I’ve both seen and heard things (some sadly directed at myself) that would make both a Beholder blush in embarrassment and a Cambion BBEG stop to ask you “Dude, are you okay?”.
Yeah, I’m one of several DnD veterans who witnessed in person the worse that some players would become at RP (my favorite excuse for their behavior being “iT’S wHAT mY cHARACTER wOULD dO!”).

But that’s fine, since thankfully I was raised to be a very level-headed person that respects the boundaries of others. Now on another note you might be asking, with my experience in DnD and video games, if I played Baldur’s’ Gate 3! And sadly no! My PC can’t run DirectX 12 games (I learned it the hard way when Marvel Rivals launched and I could not join the hype train at launch :sob: ), and while BG3 is DirectX 11 so my PC COULD run it, I can already see it turning into a power point that would risk exploding my ancient PC, so I’ll just have to wait patiently until I finally get new specs to play BG3.

Now on Fire Emblem: I played both FE7 and FE8 when I was young, then growing up got a Switch to play Three Houses (as I enjoyed the more mature theme that it has). Sadly I had to sell both the games and the GBA/Switch for financial support (one of several steps for me to ultimately move away from Europe to settle down in the Americas to find a new job), but I gotta say I also watched a full LP of Genealogy and really enjoyed the story, so there’s my ‘4th’ FE experienced.

With all that being said, don’t worry about me, my condition is now stable where I live (naturally I’ll not disclose anything else, being anonymous for my own safety and all that) and I’m enjoying playing games on PC, and now hopefully I have fun in here. Currently messing around in FEBuilderGBA and let’s see what I can cook up in the future.

If you survived the wall of text I wrote above, wish you the best and stay awesome!

Greetings! Here, enjoy a welcome bomb. Use it wisely- it can uncover hidden secrets!

On the topic of Baldur’s Gate, I reccomend playing the first two(incl the Throne of Bhaal expansion for 2), first. That way, you’ll be able to understand how much Larian butchered the spirit of the series when you play 3. Which I don’t yet, b/c I haven’t finished 2 and haven’t played 3.

Grab welcome bomb. Place it inside inventory.
Prepared to be used for future “Explosive Barrels” cheese against bosses.

Watch out Text wall. Ya i read it all still wondering why.

Welcome SinclairX hope you enjoy your time here.

Favorite class? Heres a wrap staff :magic_wand: If not staff related class well rip there are pyromanics in chat who offer bombs. Seems i am late.

On another note i hate how i cant edit @ mention any more makes my iconic line harder to do. Bold words are my iconic line (i always write user name using @ the removing @)

Have you played 1 & 2?

Technically I did play BG 1 & 2 way in the past, alongside Planescape: Torment, but I didn’t go very far and dropped them, as it was around the time I’ve started getting into DnD 5e and decided to focus more on it instead, with my old group.

But now that both you Tea, and Starshadow as well, asked about the first two Baldur’s Gate, I definitely should get back and finally do a full playthrough of them…

I’ll see whenever I’m up for it in the near future, this is because there’s still some other games for me to try out as well. But thanks again for the heads up!

From the sound of it, it looks like you might be a drifter. Or maybe not. Maybe it’s just me judging things at first glance like usual. But nevermind about that, we’re welcome to have you here in FEU, SinclairX.

Oh, and I did read the wall of text too. I’ve seen worse and bigger imo.

So…! Guess what everyone? I’m going back to Europe, my home, yay!
BUT, this means that I’ll not be online for a LONG TIME, so with this post, I am formally saying my goodbyes from this forum, since I’ll just not be able to communicate thanks to having to make the moving journey on plane and everything.

I might come back some day in the future, but it’s gonna be a long shot, I’m just saying it straight out since I don’t want to give false hope. But by all means, I had fun here on the very brief week I was here, learning a lot of things about Fire Emblem and stuff.

Even if I’m going away, I’m still leaving the FE6 Female Swordmaster Repal F2U and F2E for everyone, as well as the FE8 All Thieves hack free for everyone to download!

So again, this is goodbye and don’t worry about me.
By all means have a good one everyone!
