González Alternate Battle Animation

Hey FE Universe

I’ve always been fascinated by how Hawkeye from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword has an alternate Berserker battle animation that’s distinct from the Pirates like Fargus and Dart as well as the other Berserkers in the game. His unique look and animations really make him stand out.

I was wondering if anyone has worked on creating an alternate battle animation for González as a Berserker? It would be amazing to see a custom animation that captures his character while giving him that same sense of uniqueness in battle like Hawkeye has.

Awesome! Where can I get that animation from to add it using FE Builder?

It’s on the Graphics Repository on the Zerker folder.

It’s in this section. Press Ctrl+F to open the text search field at the bottom of the window and type “Gonzalez” to find it easier. There are special sprites for him as a Brigand there, too.

Thank you so much :+1:. Fire Emblem The Binding Blade (Project Ember) is my favorite way to play FE6 & I think that it was a missed opportunity to implement González special alternate battle animation in it, so I went ahead & added it myself.

This animation was only made longgg after Project Ember was made, so the devs didn’t “miss the opportunity” because they never even had that opportunity in the first place. Besides, even if they could in a similar manner to the other exclusive unit animations like Lilina’s or Ogier’s, they’d need to make an entirely separate Berserker class that only he can promote into just for the animations. Even then, this game hasn’t gotten an update in three whole years, so it’s extremely unlikely it’s ever getting another update again. Also, saying that Project Ember is your favorite way to play FE6 is…certainly a choice.

No worries. Thanks for the clarification. Essentially what I did was I removed Ogier’s Mercenary alternate animation & I basically gave him the same Mercenary animation as Dieck. I used that extra Mercenary space & I replaced it with González Berserker animation & I assigned the Brigand Class to to class up to the González Berserker class. Furthermore, another alteration that I did was removing the male Druid class & I replaced it with the Dark Knight class (with its respective grow rates). Reason why I did that was to make sure that Raigh classes up to a Dark Knight & be on horseback like his brother Lugh since Lugh classes up to a Mage Knight. Now that’s a missed opportunity I think since the Dark Class animation has been out for a long time. Seeing one orphan brother on horseback and the other running around the map on foot didn’t make sense to me. Having both magical orphan brothers on horseback is perfect I think. It makes sense to me.
