Garytop's Display Cabinet

If you make her armor white she could be a Jugdral Paladin (and a fit like Leif’s would be perfect for Colin now that I think of it, the Prince(ss) class is kinda like the trainee classes)

That comment on Hardin looking like Thragg reminded me of the Hardin looking like Stalin memes. He does look a bit like Thragg and Freddy Mecury here doesn’t he?

You know I’ve never sprited anyone from Avatar the Last Airbender, and all of a sudden I’ve done two pretty close to eachother. Then again I suppose you could say the same about new IPs/entries as well such as Fortune’s Weave (although I did sprite Leda back when we got that first proper trailer a year ago). This one also almost got away from me, October has ended up being busy for me. However we’re now down to the final 2 Spritetober sprites with 7 days to go, let see if I can make it.

And here is the current progress for Spritetober;

  1. Advance Wars - Max - Complete
  2. Adventure Quest - Artix von Krieger - Complete
  3. FE Fortune’s Weave - Hong Hua - Complete
  4. X-Men Anime - Storm - Complete
  5. Avatar TLA - Cabbage Merchant - Complete
  6. FE New Mystrey - Emperor Hardin - Complete
  7. Advance Wars DS - Sasha - Complete
  8. Avatar TLA - Mai - Complete
  9. Soul Calibur 3 - Valeria
  10. NIJISANJI - Watari Hibari

I’ve updated the Non Fire Emblem Properties (Non Game Franchises) post with the below entry under F2E - Non Fire Emblem (Non Game Franchises - Avatar TLA - Mai)

Avatar TLA - Mai

So here is another Avatar character. Back when I was first doing the Awakening portraits I ended up using Mai as a reference for designing my Tharja as well. I did end up struggling with Mai’s eyes with this one being like the 5th version I ended up settling on. I did end up looking at my Tharja for reference for a little bit, but decided against going with that style for the eyes. Other than that, I found looking at references that Mai’s hair isn’t drawn that consistently either. I think other than that, her hair was probably the hardest thing to work on, although this is 2nd version of her hair I ended up settling on. I think if I were to revisit Mai, I’d definitely look at her hair again.
