Friend other users

This could add new badges, help increase communication speed, and doesn’t really have any downsides. When you friend someone, it prioritizes them in the latest category, and notifies you when they reply to a post or create a post. Of course, this would be optional. I’m thinking about friend “tiers”. Tier 1 would be the starting tier, the one you get when both users agree to friend each other, and the most basic one available. This would notify you when they post, but not when they reply. To upgrade a tier, there would be a required time spent friended, a required amount of likes you give them or they give you, or some other thing. Tier 2 lets you see their replies as well as their posts, and tier 3, the final tier, would do something special (1 like=5 likes from tier 3 friend?). To balance this out, you can only have 3 tier 3 friends, 50 tier 2 friends, and unlimited tier 1 friends. to friend someone, you could send a request and they could accept. Each tier upgrade requires both parties to be willing. Just an idea, tell me what you think.

This site can’t change badges, that’s what’s baked into any site that uses this exact forum template.

Woops!

Strictly speaking we can modify badges, but we don’t usually bother because the badge system is kind of a waste of time.

FEU isn’t intended to be general-purpose social media. If you’re looking for that kind of experience, there’s no shortage of those sites out there.

Cam can I get a custom badge for no reason?

Makes sense, I’m still new to this kinda stuff, so I have hard time thinking logically about certain things.
