Five Hour Blitz

The purpose of this event is to encourage people to try something new in a low stakes, friendly environment, and to enjoy the process. Each year when I repost it, I think back to how SirNicee participated in the first one, among others:

Obviously I can’t take credit for participants being part of the community, but I like to believe that hosting this each year has a positive impact on the community

I want to encourage people to experiment, and let them know that it’s okay to make something bad, lol.

Following the recent discussions of ai, I thought it’d be a harmless suggestion to optionally try it as part of your hacking process. I’ve had a positive experience with ai in this context, but I’ve had negative experiences with ai in some other contexts. I figured some people might try it in this context and share what their result is - be it negative or positive. For a silly hack made in a few hours, it felt like the perfect opportunity to mess around with it, and if all you get out of it is a laugh at how badly it did when given x tasks, that’s fine by me lol. I figured we’d get entertainment out of the process either way.

I did not realize that many people would react negatively to the suggestion. I apologize for not reading the room properly.

I don’t see this thread going anywhere positive, so I’d like to ask that it be closed, please.
