Hey hey welcome to the community! No clue if you’re aware of this but sequels to TLP have a bit of a reputation of never actually being finished to the point where its kind of a joke in the community. We’re at like TLP 4 at this point despite 2 and 3 never being complete. But hey, if you wanna make a complete TLP 2, more power to you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

FEBuilder isnt too hard but its definitely an “easy to learn, hard to master” type program.

Lex Tallionis is another option or even Tactile (my personal favorite) is there too. I have @dancer_A awesome videos regarding Tactile

tlp2 was actually already in development for a bit! hilariously, it was also headed by a new dev team that wanted to build off the original. it’s not a finished project, but you can find one of the trailers here.

if you wanted to make a sequel, tlp3 was actually already in development for a bit! hilariously, it was also headed by a new dev team that wanted to build off the original. it’s not a finished project, but you can find one of the trailers here.

if you wanted to make a sequel, tlp4 was actually already in development for a bit! hilariously, it was also headed by a new dev team that wanted to build off the original. it’s not a finished project, but you can find one of the trailers here.

if you wanted to make a sequel, tlp5 wouldn’t be a bad idea to get going. seems like a pretty original concept to bounce off of.

dev team is a bit of a strong term for TLP4. Though I guess Randomwizard is a bit of a full fledged team all on her own.
Really though, I’m pretty sure all the TLP inspired games in the TLPverse have threads on FEU, so if you’re curious just search The Last Promise and see what you can find lol

Bruh when is the last promise 5 coming then, maybe you all would have better luck if a last promise prequel was made based on a younger siegfried since sequels are cursed, maybe something like this wouldn’t lol

I am aware of that but I was about 12 at time so I didn’t knew what to do but it’s an good game and requires an sequel so thank for your reply i will try to do TLP 2

Prequels for TLP could be done if Sequel is possible I will first try to make some other games as to become experienced in it then If I get the time I would make sequel and then after that a Prequel for TLP

Everyone thank you for your guidance, support, help to me

Thank you bro

Btw is the original creator of TLP is active so I could ask for his permission to avoid problems

Is he? I don’t remember. Also, didn’t he said he don’t wanna be bothered about TLP?

I don’t think he is. I feel like he’s disappeared from these things. But I could be wrong

Hi, I DM’d him 2 years ago requesting to use one of his characters in a romhack. He replied a few weeks ago saying

"…didn’t mean to ignore you per se I’m just not really involved with Fire Emblem anymore

It’s too late now but the answer is pretty much yes, I won’t stop you lol, could be considered a little hypocritical to try in that all hacks are based on Nintendo’s engine anyway, hahaha. But thank you for asking…"

In the past he’s expressed a desire to be left alone pertaining to fire emblem things. I think he’d be fine with you using the likenesses of his characters, I’d just recommend being faithful to the original presentations of the characters out of respect for his work. (He did a lot for the community)
