some guide I typed for an hour
here’s a little strategy guide:
(pretty much inaccurate, given about weeks ago that I completed act1)
(and didnt refer much on the growths at the time I typed this)
first chap
at first glance, Ryan seems to be the best unit around, having best growth,
extremely high bases for a level 1, and super weapon rank and weapons
but for some reasonsI don’t recommand giving most exps to him
Alex will be your very run of the mill character, (same growths on everything…),
sure it’s very nice for def and res (normal character does not have pretty much at)
, but it might make him unable to double or dodge or hit or one turn kill more consistently
I benched breguet and boris so no guides for them and their relatively poor growths
keep everyone defending (actually afking) just stay alive
the tent is at next to no harm, given its renewal skill and op defenses
clear the enemies one by one and don’t let the 3 non op guys block the way of enemy to tent
O neil chap2
at about turn 2, arya and oneil appears as blue units, keep arya out of range from the axe users (she is still pretty frail by now)
u can visit village with arya at that turn
O’neil will be a very solid unit for this chap, given the numbers of axers but a few unlucky hits might kill him if u overextend
Yen is a useful healer with a high reach distance but cannot heal much, given the heal staff and mediocre mag growth
otherwise not much problems,
ch3:basically vanilla fe8 chap 3,
Ch4:rush to the point by having Ryan and perhaps breguet (Daz doesn’t have much def so spare him) as frontlines since there will be a lot of enemies, the dancer’s staff is annoying so u may wanna take her out first
just proceed slowly (u can let frejia handle most of units (remember to axe the soldiers b4 she goes in)
even if her str growth is nerfed hard, she is still pretty good (and con buffed much too)
Ch5:go in kill everyone, loot the chests with lawrence, talk to that brigand with dancer recruited,
drop the fking devil axe, now if you are not save stating, since that brigand have good speed and str but not def (idk if the skill can backfire too), there’s high chances that she will have herself killed with the devil axe (including the enemy’s blow too, even if she didnt die from it, it will be a heavy liability for your healers too)
for the boss, prepare: Frejia, a higher con guy , the dancer
1.hit the boss with frejia probaly 0 get hit and nearly 100 accuracy (after seal skill)
2.rescue her
3.dance the unit and put her down away,
repeat the process because she only have +30 avo at player phase, and you dont wanna risk getting crit
Ch6:go slowly, have alex/breguet tank the mobs and have the others clear them out since there will be eyes/skeleton archers coming in hot, just have everyone and the terrain form a wall together (Just have lawrence be on the look out with his sights
never let any unit get attacked 3 or more times (except the one you give most xp to ) (count the ranged guys in too) (especially the squishy Lawrence,
Ch7:this chapter’s goal is have the new leader to seize the tile right bottom of that door at the right bottom side
have everyone fking stick together, since if split they can’t do shit
compared to previous chaps, Oneil is going to be a rather squishy unit this time (fk the 3 mt triangle)
leave only the spear on the prepromote (yay first one) or just strip him totally and use him as a meat shield
same way, burn the torch (nvm u wont use it for many chaps) yeet the enemy with the two new op characters (yup) (but the healer + mage + sword lord is quite squishy either (anyways she still has higher def then oneil)
the long range tome users, according to the route order: bolting>eclipse>purge… I recommand use healer guy, and then general to shrug the next two’s tome off
Chest room:get in there and find the dudes (not) guarding it, grab the key,
(surprise) there will be a mimic spawn after you open leftmost chest (at least it’s my case) and it will petrify every non that light mage character, welp you know what to do
the boss:a gay dude who cant be one shot by the swordslayer
but I think spear/lightning + swordslayer should kill him
Ch8:a revenant is going to pillage the chest room so be quick
as you proceed, use the prepromote to block off any monster ambushing you (or the new leader guy can too, since they are pretty weak)
you know what to do, rush on the pillager as long as you’re not pressured and then recruit new guys (they are not in immediate danger so nvm)
standing with any unit on the left upper corner escape point will end the chap
actually the chest before the silver sword is not important tho
welp kill every last one of them, the middle room (of upper part of the map) contains a chest too, and there’s plenty chest keys from this map so dont worry about the keys)
pretty curious how zombies can open doors
Ch9:u can split the team according to the weapon traingle (illuminati meme)
talk with genni w/ arya (ayaya) to recruit, have everyone to the right (the stronger boss that u r not supposed to fight will light magic through wall)
talk to the pig rider (pegasus lol) and have her carry a sword guy to the left bottom corner to deal with the 2 glitched guys who keep pillaging a same village (srs, fix it) (might be fixed by now)
I personally don’t recommand to take boss since he’s tooooooough and might kill a unit with one of his subordinates
(and I am not that into knights or calvaries too, just dont tell me that soldiers need knight crest to evolve)
Ch10:killllll eveeryyyy lastttt oneee offff thememmmm!!!
(JK don’t try it without absolutely luck tho, the master seal and metis’ tome are very good but very hard to get lol, just wait for 3 prepromotes to roll in
(the 2 except the sniper is very good) and u can use them to get the master seal
metis tome guy? dont try it, even the prepromote will get 2 shot by him, and you ain’t getting any anti armor weapons by now I think
that’s all?
