Fire Emblem Shadows Thread

So Nintendo shadow dropped a new FE out of nowhere for smartphones??? Seems like some kinda Town of Salem x FE sorta thing (or amogus if you want to match the platform)

Personally I’m just hoping it’s not another gacha game, hopefully one of those is enough to sate IS lol

I personally haven’t played Among Us, so I might give it a try, or maybe not. Although it seems a little strange to me that they released this right when they announced Fortune’s Weave, right? (Or maybe the announcement coincided with the marketing or something.)

Who playing FE: Among us tommorow

I agree, Fire Emblem Among Us was not on my bingo card on upcoming official releases.

Maybe it’s to generate hype for Fortune’s Weave? Or it really is just its own thing and was just a coincidence (‘pretty’ big coincidence though). Still does looks interesting.
On the announcement website it says on the overview list:

Price - Free-to-start; optional in-game purchases available

Really hope it’s just for skins, the thought of something like Among Us Heroes is scary.

Finally! The prophecy is coming true! Let us rejoice!

Unfortunately I believe this is basically the sales model of mobile games. In-app purchases to gain an advantage in the game is the norm.

That’s pay to win, Gacha is RNG bullshit gambling. Whole different beast, infinitely worse.

I see. They’re both evil to me, so I don’t make a distinction between them. But I understand why people would view gacha as worse.

played it for a bit, I’ll give some full thoughts later but for now I have to say it seems fairly light on P2W stuff and I don’t even think there’s a gacha mechanic anywhere. Feels fun so far, it’s an autobattler thing where you can use aoe skills to interact with the map, there are two rounds in the game.

In the first round its the two light players and the one dark traitor together against enemies with the traitor being able to use their skills to work against the other players discreetly. In between rounds the three players vote on who’s the traitor and if it’s guessed right the two light players get a bonus going into the second round and extra rewards after the game. The second round is fully traitor vs the other two players.

Looks like the FE characters are getting official furry alts, with a were-effect

It seems that everyone (or the vast majority) is a Furry… Pinches Furros.

Aside from that, The game doesn’t look like a “pay to win” (for now…)

I think the presentation is very good, but it being an autobattler kinda defeats the purpose of it being Fire Emblem. This doesn’t really feel like a Fire Emblem game, but something else entirely that they slapped Fire Emblem elements onto. It’s like Mirage sessions in that sort of vein. I don’t think it’s as bad as some people are saying, but it’s definitely not as fun to play as Heroes.

A Fire Emblem: Amogus edition definitely wasn’t something I was expecting anytime soon (more so since it’s been 5 years since it’s popularity peak).

But I especially wasn’t expecting that this game would portray previous FE characters as furries lol.

Guess those edits of people putting animal ears in characters (like one I remember seeing for Eirika) are gonna become canon after all. Those guys that did them were prophets.
