heya, i “remastered” some more of my old FF VIII assets, along with making new material always related to that.
here’s the stuff:

Tileset for making rainforest maps. Folder has the config and the object image. I made this out of the Apojii Island Exterior maps from Golden Sun: The Lost Age provided to Spriter’s Resource by Davias.

EDIT: Oh, and this is F2U and F2E. I think this is a better job than the last tileset I tried. But there’s certainly room for improvement, and I may try it someday, but anyone who wants to is welcome to try it as well.

The FE3-style Barbarian inspired me, so I made some variants of the map sprites and class card!
First, I cropped out the empty space in the standing map sprites, since they were already small enough to be 16x16:
Second, since Barbarian is sorta-kinda equivalent to a promoted class in FE3, here’s a T2 recolor of the class card for people who want to use it the same way in their hacks!

Finally, the axe in the idle stance and left/right walking frames looked a bit awkward to me, so I made an edit that replaces it with the axe from the vanilla Brigand’s left/right walking frames. Personally I think this matches how the axe looks in the rest of the Barbarian’s sprites a bit better!

The axe miss script had an error that caused the Barbarian to move lightning fast (like 1-2 frame speed) so I’ve made a fix for it. You can download it here.
Also here’s a very minor fix to the Barbarian class card in case it doesn’t import. I wasn’t able to import it without this palette adjustment.

In vanilla FE8, the dancer ring status effects are not translated as they are unused. Here’s a translated version of the icon sheet for those that want to use dancer rings:

I’m so excited to FINALLY have these done after several months. I have made/edited battle animations of Kyoko and Misako from River City Girls. The original Boxer animation was made by Neph and the FE9 fighter animation was by Mageknight404. Both of your animations are incredible.
Two things for you here today.
First, I wanted the Erk Sage to use the Staff Magic as seen in Sacred Echoes for a private project, but decided not to painstakingly do the work in MS paint and not share it.
Edit: I used the animation gif cleaner thing and it makes the sage animation look kind of janky. It does not look the same imported. The original staff sage gif is also janky, in the same way, but also looks much better imported.
And, while I’ve always like GabrielKnight’s Knife Matthew, there were always a few pixels that made paletting annoying, so I’ve gone ahead and fixed that too. The few pixels at the front of the face, if you’re curious.

Hey all, long time no see. Nothing much but just a quick fix for Leo Link’s ‘Malig Knight’ for the range lance animations. It seems a few of the codes were out of place so I just switched them around. Before the range attack would stall and the critical animation was a bit janky due to the throw animation appearing after the throw attack. Hopefully there won’t be anymore problems.

I did 4 things today at once, so before I hit the bed like a stone:
I noticed now that I deleted the arcane symbol codes in the Warlock’s Script in the normal attack, but it was only in the critical part to not have. But I just fixed it.
Added a Magic ax part to the Savaged Paladin Vanilla Style animation
Edit: A new link has been generated because for some reason, the file I sent previously was missing some frames, causing an error when inserting the animation into FeBuilder. But it’s fixed. I apologize for the confusion, and thanks to @Jj09 for alerting me to the problem
