Fire Emblem Project Jugdral Overture

Hello everyone,

Lately, I’ve been feeling excited for Jugdral, and I’m eager to start creating some gba-era content inspired by it. I want to clarify that these projects won’t be remakes of FE4 or anything similar. Instead, think of it more like a FE4-themed PME or rebalance for gba-era games.

At this stage, I’m still figuring out what changes or additions I can make, which is why I’m opening this thread to ask for advice and guidance from the community. Any help or support would be greatly appreciated as I embark on this journey.
My plan is to start with FE6, see how that progresses, and then potentially move on to FE7 and FE8.

Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to read this. I really appreciate it!

Information

-There are 24 playable characters in the first generation of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

For an FE6 pseudo-PME, I’m biased towards having Travant as the main protagonist. I think his writing shines relative to a lot of FE4’s minor cast as he is a deeply nuanced character who could conceivably serve as an anti-hero.

He’s also my favorite FE character so there’s that too.

Imagine making Arden Roy lol.

But make Beowolf Marcus. In Roy’s the original pay for him so nearly gone so he doesn’t feel that motivated to grow and fight but in Eliwood’s story the pay is fresh and his motivated to grow to keep getting the good pay.

I see. I was originally considering making all three projects revolve around either Sigurd or Seliph as the protagonist, but your suggestions also sound quite intriguing. I think that, to some extent, certain units from FE5 could also be incorporated into this project as well.

I will also be changing the music, adding new classes, and adding new items from FE4. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear your feedback and am open to all ideas.

I’m not really a Judge Dredd expert, unfortunately, but best of luck!

I just noticed that someone uploaded an entire custom Sigurd animation to the repository!

Definitely add Master Knight class if you can. That would be pretty interesting and cool in a GBA game

Having all the maps interconnect with each other on a grand(er) scale might be a neat thing to try to include. Having chapter 1’s map have a brief cameo in chapter 2 and onwards would be neat to try

If your planning to FE4 both FE6 And FE7, then why not try making them interconnected?

Start off with thw FE7 cast, die due to some unknown force, and then have their children enter the frey from FE6.

(But also Thany should exist regardless of the parent so I vote her as one of the playables)

That is a great idea but how should I fill all other units slots? FE7 has over 40 units while FE4 Generation 1 only has 24 playable units.

I might start with just one game and see how it goes. FE8 has the fewest number of units, so it might be easier to begin with that. Plus, it offers more tools, especially with its skills system. While FE4 does have skills for its units, so FE8 might be better to start with.
