I can’t beat Chapter 15 because I can’t access the escape tile. I’ve killed all of the enemies and stepped on the tile that the boss was standing on. This allowed me to access the skill spirits, but the escape point seems to be stuck in the brace tile.
I fixed it, update the patch and you should be good to go (although you will need to replay the chapter or go back to a point before you activated the tile due to the way the event works)
Found an error in Chapter 17 where if you attack one of the reinforcements (the fighter) that spawns on turn 9 in the lower half of the map, the game thinks you are attacking the boss and the game freezes.
If the fighter attacks any of your units, the game also freezes
This hack has become a inspiration for me to start hacking due to just how amazing and joyful it is keep the updates going! Also Witch class is one of my favorite classes I just wish there was more witch units.
Hello! I found a few bugs in the process of my playthrough. One is minor, one seems to already have been posted, one might not even be a bug and one is a major hardlock.
In Chapter 17(?), Aderyn is allowed to constantly Talk to Trevor even after recruiting him. It repeats the same conversation but doesn’t do anything special after the first recruitment.
In Chapter 17, the game seems to have an identity crisis regarding Angus and the northern reinforcement Thief. If the Thief attempts to attack anyone or you try to attack the Thief, the game tries to initiate combat with Angus but freezes. If the Thief attempts to take any action (including Wait) Angus will immediately occupy his position and then the Thief will disappear.
In Chapter 17, the Thieves do not act like Thieves. All spawning Thieves prioritize combat with your units over picking up as much treasure as possible and fleeing. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it makes the “Thief becomes Angus in combat and then freezes your game” bit a lot harder to avoid.
There is a hardlock in Chapter 18. During the Other Phase, some green unit that I can’t see is targeting an empty tile with something. As soon as the unit initiates combat with the empty tile it hardlocks and screams at me.
I have not been able to get this mysterious Green unit in sight without it triggering the crash so I have no idea what he has and what he’s doing, but if I had to guess it’s one of the Bishops trying to use Purge on an invalid enemy (maybe the Gargoyle someone mentioned earlier?)
Mage Knights (both genders) can freeze the game when getting two consecutive attacks in melee (i.e. enemy phase or all the time on reverse mode) with animations on, because they don’t wait for damage from the first attack to stop counting down before starting their next attack. There’s no problem at range though.
You can rescue the spirits on chapter 15. If you rescue one and accept the skill from another, the game will freeze if you drop them.
The same stuff everyone’s mentioned about Angus on chapter 17, though there’s also another funny thing I found that I’m sure is stemming from the same bug. My solution to the northern thief ruining my day was to block his spawn point. Later, a fighter spawned on the south side, and after he moved, he turned into Angus just like the northern thief does. Fortunately he wasn’t in range of anyone, I imagine he would have triggered the same freeze if he’d attacked on the same turn.
Female tag isn’t on the units you’d expect it to be on, which makes it annoying to figure out how to use Gentilhomme and Demoiselle. I can at least see Penny and Melinda are treated as male and Damian and Derrick as female from their aid scores when mounted, and there’s probably others that are wrong too, I haven’t looked too hard because after falling victim to these skills not triggering in vital situations a few times, I’ve stopped trying to take them into account.
Ranger doesn’t seem to have a level 10 skill. I’ve taken about a dozen other different promoted classes to level 10 so far and all of them get a skill at that point, so this seems like an oversight?
The messenger in the Chapter 20 victory cutscene spouts a snippet of vanilla dialogue, something about calling out Prince Ephraim and having no intention of dying.
The portraits for Jefferson (chapter 7 general boss) and Dan (chapter 9 brigand recruit) have the exact same head, face and hair, right down to the colours, and it’s really jarring, especially since there’s only one chapter between them. I love the idea of a dapper gentleman looking berserker though so I’d say the boss is the one that should be changed. Unless they actually are the same person?
The Ch. 15 spirits now have 25 con, so they can’t be rescued anymore
Female tags fixed.
Ranger and Great Lords now have level 10 skills.
Ch. 18’s boss should now spawn properly (once you move to the west side of the map, it’ll spawn).
The Ch. 18 ally bishops no longer have purge tomes.
Fixes for the gargoyle glitch and Angus warp bugs haven’t been surefire, but the reinforcements in ch. 17 have been cut (they were where the Angus bug happened.), and I moved the Gargoyles in Ch 18. Also, nothing seems wrong wit the mage knight animation scripts, so I re-inserted the male one and gave the female ones BatimaTheBat’s short hair animation.
Think I stumbled across another one, but it could just be RNG messing with me real bad.
The stat boost from holding a Relic seems to be capable of tricking the game into thinking a statistic is maxed when it comes to distributing level up bonuses. For example, if someone is holding the Skill Relic and they have a Skill cap of 30, their Skill stat will stop rising at 25 because the game thinks you’re capped. Taking the Relic off allows the stat to increase via leveling naturally again.
The best way to test this for sure would be with Luigi and the Power Relic, but I did not level him so I can’t really try it out myself.
Man the 15 the chapter is bugging me real hard can’t get past the frozen screen pls fix it man i really love this hack . Somebody else posted the same bug too not fixed yet. Btw thanks for making this wonderful hack i hope i can complete it.
