Fire Emblem Fates PMU – Create Your Own Custom Unit!

My worry is that having a pre-promoted child unit will mess up skill inheritance.

Normally, child units join unpromoted with their 2 base class skills and up to 1 skill from each parent, adding up to 4 (plus their personal). I’m not sure if autolevels give skills, but if they do then she’d end up with 4 class skills before inheritance in most scenarios (Shiro joins at lvl 14 at the earliest). If her skill slots are all occupied, she might lose an inherited skill.

Does anyone know how exactly this works? I’m fine with giving her just the Shrine Maiden class skills at base if that’s possible.

Would it be possible for a child unit to have fixed class skills that don’t change with levels, like a capturable, while also being able to inherit skills from their parents?

A Hoshidan mage who snuck out with her friend. When the village they were at was ransacked, she went searching for help.
She’s here to compensate for the lack of an early-game mage, and so you’re not forced into grinding Metal up to Level 10 before Chapter 10.

FaceSprite: Brown-haired Soleil would work perfectly.

Intended to be a My Castle Recruitment after Chapter 7. She has supports with Ezzie (Corrin), Frankie, Shadow, Metal, Tsumetai, and Potjack in Conquest; I intend for her to be playable in Birthright as well, supports there are pending.

Tip: You can absolutely promote this unit between Level 15-20 in your playthrough instead of just Level 10. With the Paragon skill being built-in, it’s not inconceivable for her to hit 20/20 by endgame. Also, one of the few units who is completely self-sufficient without reclassing. Just put her into Onymoji and the build will finish itself.

I’ve made a few changes before the next run to ensure that things run a little more smoothly, and some balance adjustments to make sure my low-performers do a little better, and my high-performers (aka Guiabern) are a little more fair.

Justynn has been completely reworked, please adjust the portrait, stats, and skills. He should now serve as a support-leaning generalist who plays into the class strengths of a Lodestar.

Alvida has had her Level increased to 25, and her stats have been increased across the board, but she is no longer recruitable until after Chapter 17. She also has more support options, including Corrin.

Guiabern’s Level has been lowered from Level 10 down to Level 5, but he no longer has built-in Eternal Seals. He will cap at Level 20 instead of Level 30. (He now has 5 less levels to work with, which was always the intent when designing him.)

Aurélie has been submitted to give you an early-game mage with ample opportunity to train before chapter 10.

Justain, Akoshi, Terpsichore, Baha’al-Din and Akane have not been changed. I am happy with how all of these units perform.

I was thinking if I wanna readjust Tsumetais bases a little bit.
While she did not perform bad at all, I don’t really like what I did with the 14/18 Splits and maybe wanna make her lean a little bit more into being a magical unit base stat wise.

Yeah, after watching half my units either get killed early in or get babied (looking at you, Justynn), and then watching a certain someone (cough cough Guiabern cough cough) overperform to such an absurd degree, I realized some balance adjustments were in order.

Also, Guiabern should NOT be able to wield Siegfried, please lock that weapon :sob:.

Oh yeah, I noticed Meteora’s stats were off during today’s stream

The stats don’t match up with Izana’s bases, either, since her HP and STR are noticeably lower than the earliest possible joining Izana.
Besides stat discrepancies, she joins with Monk/Shrine Maiden!Onmyoji class skills rather than Diviner!Onmyoji. Class set is supposed to be Diviner/Oni/Dark Mage, ended up having Shrine Maiden in-game as well (probably bleeding from Izana).

Actually, looking back, Rafaela’s stats in-game were the same as Haitaka’s bases, rather than submitted stats. Skills were implemented properly. Hopefully she’ll get a bit more action next run (Rally SPD / Seal / Swap utility?)

Oh also for some fun i might see if i can make my brithright units so you can make them bosses in conquest

Also, we are kinda out of portraits to replace for actually new units (Alvida,Akiko, Aurelia etc.) So if anyone wants to create an actually new unit, even for Birthright or rev, you would need to replace a capturable boss that will then just join over castle recruitment in the other routes (I kinda did that with Tarba->Akiko, sry Shadow) Or go with Yukimura,Fuga or Scarlet, and then again just make them join on the other routes.
