Removed a mercenary from chapter 2 to make Valter less likely to fly east and get murdered before the player can do anything about it. I can’t believe this has never been reported.
Swapped Orson’s vulnerary for a concoction in chapter 5x to hopefully make him less difficult to keep alive.
Reverted Orson’s luck nerf. The flavor of him having the lowest luck in the hack is funny to me but it also made him take 1% crit chances in chapter 5x, so uh. Sorry 'bout that.
Oof… Gotta be more careful with the arena!
He only has one A support and that character’s own ending is already intrinsically tied to Lyon. Giving them a paired ending would only amount to having to rewrite their two endings into one. Plus, the whole point of Lyon’s development is that he gradually becomes cold-hearted and uncaring. Forming that kind of attachment with anyone else would go against that. I don’t think he needs such an ending, personally.
Riev says: Activate Windows! Heh heh heh… Anyway, cool team. I see a lot of fan-favorite faces. IE literally everyone uses Tiffani. Literally everyone. I think the only team I’ve ever seen that didn’t have her were my playtesters’ teams before she was added to the game lmao
Beyond that, I’m really happy you enjoyed the hack!
I wanted to make a joke about it; something along the lines of being eerily similar to Paralogue 3 of Awakening, but I kept forgetting.
That and his growths being the Forde to Glen’s Kyle, and I’m still mildly upset about that – my Valter is getting strength-screwed and he has a 40% growth
I know I can be a bit of a jerk but c’mon, I’m not THAT bad!
Well, unlike Forde he does at least have fine speed. Speed is the best stat!
Neither him nor Glen is meant to be a combat powerhouse, though, or at least not easy ones to bring into juggernaut stats. Flying utility is enough.
Maybe I should credit you on the OP for the idea for Tiffani specifically. It’s quite the claim considering she’s the single most popular unit in the hack lol
Oh, hey, neat. I put Pablo on a ballista tile to attack this archer, and the attack-range graphic seems to think he can use it. He can’t, nor does he have any seige tomes like Bolting. I can’t tell if base-game Sages do this, since I never use Lute or Saleh. Ah well, interesting enough to look at I suppose
Finally beat it. Last couple chapters were a little bit of a slog to get through but overall it was a fun hack. Would for sure say the story and characters were the best part of it all.
Ah yes lyon. Probably one of the best units in the hack due to his staff utility and while his combat can be a little lacking due to his low defense he still hits very hard-
Tiffani isnt too hard to train and with the amount of magic and speed she gets it made it very worth training her, only issue like lyon is not much defense and unlike lyon she doesnt have nosferatu. Unlike lyon though shes probably not getting doubled due to high speed-
The first monster i picked and the only one who managed to survive- all the other choosable monsters died. He never had been a amazing unit but he had been decent the whole game since i could have him fullfill so many roles. Also didnt send him into the tower so took a lot of effort to get those s ranks (thank god for the devil ax-)
Probably my best unit for the whole hack. He had high magic and speed while also having not terrible bulk. When he got belial later it made certain parts MUCH easier of chapters since i could get away with throwing him to front lines. To the point i think its better to make riev a druid so he has acess to nosferatu
Putting them both here since for 90% of the run they felt like the same unit- for most of the game they didnt have much strength so i just used the fact they have acess to short bows a lot to give them combat utility. Valter had been worse then though since before becoming a gargoyal he had 12 strength while liessalot had 15. I was happy valter got buffed when he came back but saddened he lost bow rank. Ended up giving valter the stange herb and a energy ring
I hadnt been using aion or murray so orson got used- i really like orson though so didnt see it as the end of the world. Not much to say about him besides " strong paladin"
“Oh cool monica yeah ill use her surely she wont die every 2 seconds due to the fact she has no defensive growths and doesnt have the highest skill so she’ll end up missing a lot”
Yeah no the only reason shes still alive and i kept using her was orson no questions asked.
Aaah bone, liked all his dailog with zabba and very much enjoyed using him. When ever the game threw a bunch of mages i gave him a handaxe and watched him kill all them very quickly due to doubling and taking no damage-
Was fun to use, almost used all of shadowshot and i never got stone sadly. Her summons were really good expesually when they would get shadowshot- im honestly dissapointed though since i really like those eyeballs and wished i could have had a actual unit be one. Not the end of the world, better then the cyclops who is sitting in the corner not getting touched-
I also used caellach but dont have his stats at the momment so ill grab them later, will end up doing th4 post game after I do formorittis route-
So, I kinda spoiled this for myself already by looking at the other comments here and the Tier List maker, so…
Valter dies – that’s the gist of what I got. I’m at the desert map, what chapter do I lose him? I can infer the “Gargoyle” you recruit is just Valter again, but since he’s the unit I’ve poured the most investment into, I’d like to be prepared for when I have to go a few chapters without him.
You can only buy Master Seal in Chapter 20 and Chapter 21 Secret Shop, on the same spot as Vanilla. (Member Card can be found on Rennac when you recruit him back in Chapter 17.) If you miss them, then it’s postgame where you can buy them again, since Chapter 26 Secret Shop doesn’t sold it.
Answer
Human Valter is gone after Chapter 24, but Gargoyle Valter rejoins in the middle of Chapter 25. He does keep his stat and his Lance Rank, but he lost his Bow/Sword Rank, and any stat he has that exceeds Deathgoyle’s cap will be reduced to the cap after he enters a round of combat.
McGregor and Vigarde’s conversation in Chapter 23 isn’t triggering for me. I don’t see any extra requirements in the guide, so not quite sure what’s going wrong there. They’re both benched for me anyhow so it’s no skin off my nose. Out of curiosity, what do they talk about here? …Well…what does McGregor talk about, because I know Vigarde isn’t exactly the chatty type.
Oh yeah, speaking of which, i’ve been checking some stuff in FEBuilder and i saw the sadrika portrait there, i assume it’s from the lagdou postgame lmao
Y’know, I’ll be honest, I was a little worried this was going to turn into a Sheena-type chapter and I was supposed to spare all the villagers for a reward, but this…
This is why you’re the best, cap’n! : D
Huntin’ time~!
Assassins can steal weapons? The Shamshir Assassin in Chapter 26x walked right up to Selena and stole the Halidole right out of her hands. Thankfully he drops the Shamshir, meaning he’ll drop the Halidole on death, but still – I didn’t know they could do that. Are they supposed to?
In unrelated news, I really don’t wanna kill Dozla – he’s one of the Sacred Stones characters I like. But as an act of good faith, I at least returned Rennac to the enemy-side. …Then promptly killed him. Several thousand gold well-spent…
