her boss battle quote with avatar stated that her mother was NTRed by avatar’s father
Strange. Have yo tried using the key around the chest instead of on top of it? But honestly I wonder if he really is missable, he appears way too much.
I see.
I remember she mentioning that in her A support but didnt remember avatar’s father being the culprit
what’s NTR?
Tried that and nothing too, he’s still really present in the story too but still not deployable
Netorare (ie the theme of cheating, usually from the POV of the one being cheated).
Better not think much of it, its one of the vleat things in media. Keep your pure soul.
Thats very strange. Maybe the dev will answer this at some point. I have no idea why this is happening to you.
Hi hello, thank you for telling me this. Arjun is supposed to be recruited in 18, regardless if you got him out of the chest or not. But it looks like I put in the wrong event ID in the thing that checks if you unlocked the chest or not. As for Khan, he should join after a turn has passed on 19 if he was left alive in 18, he doesn’t join immediately. I don’t know if you went beyond turn one to check, but tell me if you did.
Another matter, however, is that chest problem. I checked if any of the items to open chests were messed up (thief lockpicks, the one use chest key, and the five use chest key) and they all work. you may want to send me your save file so i can see if it’s just some random one-time error, because that stuff happens.
Either way, I have fixed Arjun not being recruit if left in the chest. This patch should fix that.
As stated above in other comments,
they are indeed half-siblings. Different mothers but Volund is the biological father of both. Jenna’s mother had an affair with Volund, who was her husband’s friend. Yes, both are very naughty people for doing that.
I haven’t tried the one with Khan yet so thanks for telling me that
As for the chest problem, the first time I played ch 18, I actually unlocked Arjun’s chest with a chest key and recruited him but when I’ve realised I failed to recruit Khan, I tried doing ch 18 again and ended up quick saving by mistake, deleting the save file where I recruited Arjun. It was from this point onwards that I couldn’t unlock his chest now.
Not sure about this but I think skipping the dialogue might have triggered the bug
Yeaaah, depending on what you’re playing the game on, I can see some emulator nonsense probably messing that up like that.
Can i promote Arjun or will he only stay as a lord?
nvm found answer
Good old incest to make a a hack feel like a proper FE.
Hey man, just made an account to say Thank You! First FE romhack I’ve ever played and it was a great experience, looking forward to whatever your next project is if you plan on making more.
That said, where are my paired endings for best boy Ronaldo?
Hey, glad you liked it. In the case of Ronaldo not having any paired endings, I went ahead with that because the only real paired ending I could think of for him would be with Orion. But given how his solo ending is, I thought it would be redundant. In the case of Ronaldo having romance with anyone, he’d rather have a lady who stays off the battlefield. A nice village girl, or rather a bar wench would be his type. That said, he would have made an exception for Adda but she isn’t interested, haha.
Gah, fair enough, shame I couldn’t get him w/ Francine, seems like it’d be a fun couple
I tried blind iron manning this and I lost on the final chapter. I had only fielded 2 groups and the objective was to stand on a tile that no one could reach. Otherwise, the game was mostly readable on a first attempt with a few exceptions. Overall, the first 10 chapters were too easy with no need to use the jaigen and no risk of death with the endgame scaling to actually be really difficult.
The biggest challenge that made this game fun was resource constraints. I was constantly out of money, torches, lockpicks, chest keys, and breaking s rank weapons. After I lost a full health yet to a dracozombie that spawned as a reinforcement in fog and attacked over a wall I had no chance of ever hammerening anything. I’d still consider that fair even though there was no precedent at that point for those things appearing as spawns. The real issue was I had no way to get more torches or torch staff uses so every fog of war chapter was completely blind. If they had been in shops I would’ve bought them. It would have been good too if maya came with s rank in staves since i was pretty close to being out of legendary weapons in the final chapter and couldve used the repairs.
The unfair things were the dark tome gaiden chapter where I tried training people and lost two important units since I wasn’t risking putting the lords in the box. In the first room a swordmaster crit vito (worst possible matchup, no reaver at the time and no way to predict it would be the 1 physical class he cant fight.). On the upside his death quote blaming me was pretty fitting since I literally locked him in a room with a swordmaster. Then on the 2nd room I decided I didn’t want to lose the unit that way and stuck the iron rune on shermie but she got killed anyway. I thought the story was tricking me since Orion was in no way strong enough to beat a swordmaster at that point even though I’d been training him and it suggested I lock him in there for an instant game over, but maybe it wasn’t and I should’ve just put in a magic user. Anyway, I get it was the theme of the chapter to sacrifice units and its certainly memorable, but it just didn’t feel good having that mechanic.
Then the second to last chapter I defeated the dragon and was wandering around for a few turns wondering if the game broke since “defeat 2 bosses” sounded like the bishop and the dragon to me. Then reinforcements suddenly started spawning again followed by Eligor a couple of turns later and just like that half of my army was wiped out by ambush spawns. It felt like the game did kind of break and Eligor was supposed to spawn sooner or something because it was odd how many turns of nothing there were. I sent all my units through the top route and no one bottom so maybe that had something to do with it.
The last one is minor, but on the defend the nergal unit chapter I fielded under the maximum units. Then when it switched from water to lava, it put in a bunch of unpromoted people that had no business being there automatically. It worked out ok since they were eclipse bait, but they got killed by the horses that spawned behind and I lost like 5 units there too kind of uncontrollably since they weren’t even supposed to be on the map.
Most units are well designed with promotion items done better than most hacks with them being unit specific and late. Archers/Snipers were balanced correctly which is hard to get right. As far as unit specific stuff, kathe is a bit overtuned compared to ty, there’s a lot of times a later unit has better stats but that one was pretty ridiculous (lvl 8 is too much) especially with the pasta lance coming so early. Arjun should have more skill since him being a lord makes the 80 hit misses a game over instead of a dead unit. I gave him a skill book and a light brand and it still wasn’t good enough to get him past lvl 13 before I was forced to promote or get 1 shot by siege tomes. Also, he got 2 blank level ups then only hp and luck another couple of times. I get his promotion bonuses are good, but the growth rates for him should at least be normal if not better than normal units, he ended up being barely usable for some chip blows after promotion.
Best units are:
Final Team
Freesia - Used stat boosters here, s rank light tome came too late but aura is great.
Kathe - Best lance user in the game with guangdong getting a lot of kos and pasta lance as backup
Dead to Eligor Ambush
Eli - Short bow is great, 3 range bows are great, s rank bow is ok.
Durga - Misses a lot but durable and gets s rank axe. Only Unit that could safely damage Nergal boss with ~50 hit rate without game over due to him having crit on everyone. Took a lot of turns.
Tactician (picked a vulgar name because that’s the type of thing that makes me happy in life) - Best unit, could 1 shot everything, nosferatu tank, and the only unit that could take on a lot of bosses near the end of the game.
Mide - Best sword user in the game with wo dao crits getting significant kills and good Goldbrandt user on some bosses.
Russian Mankete - Gets one hit kos and is sturdy
Dead to Eligor ambush.
Dancer - Can take a hit and heal so above average
Yet - Only naturally occurring Hammerine User
Dead to Dracozombie fog of war reinforcement.
Vito - Better with bows than with axes
Dead to sacrifice for a dark tome.
Whitney - Good with a couple of goddess icons for flying over to Sieg tomes
Dead to longbow I didn’t see.
Ardoome - Good tank and ok attacker with brave lance
Dorothy - Emergency monster killer and staff user though she had like half the stats of Freesia on her join chapter. Bishop is still just a really good class in this hack. - Dead to Eligor Ambush
Maya - Ok, that S rank staff would’ve made her a lot better.
Alive, but lvl 20 on join so no point in a picture.
Orion - Only usable with the unbreakable sword against monsters, otherwise not enough strength to do anything. Edit: He had 15 strength at the end of the game and someone else posted a screenshot of him with 18 strength before chapter 15, maybe I just got unlucky. I went to lvl 20 before promoting.
Arjun - Could also occasionally kill things.
Everyone else kind was kind of a pile of steaming garbage by lategame and I don’t think investing more into them would’ve helped except for mages which I never tried using.
Fiana - Only other promoted, alive unit. Shuttles Ardoome around.
That’s everyone I had for the final chapter which really isn’t enough for 3 groups.
Edit: Reading the thread I missed recruiting a lot of the bosses I didn’t know were recruitable so maybe some of them are good too.
Anyway, its a good hack and I wish I had beaten it on the first try. I’ll replay it at some point though right now I like blind ironmanning things. It shows a game is done well if its still playable without foreknowledge. The end of the game got a little convoluted and feels kind of buggy, I should be losing to game overs and not a softlock because I chose to field my units a different way than anticipated. At least I think I’m softlocked, the throne room never opened up I assume because I never stepped on the right side tile since no units are over there. The story just said the goal of the tiles was to reunite the army so I figured I’d do it myself on turn 0 and save time but I guess that backfired. Maybe make it so all 3 lords are required and hardlocked to the 3 different groups to make it clear the player has to actually form 3 separate groups or get a game over. But its just minor things and overall this game was fun for blind ironmanning.
Earlier this year, a weirdo on a discord server I’m in randomly invited me to watch him stream games with another friend of his. This would later lead to him streaming DLATMOL and what an epic experience it was! We had a very wild months worth of him streaming DLATMOL and all of us voice acting some of the characters but sadly we finally reached the end just yesterday and I’ve been feeling empty ever since. I truly hope you have a sequel or even a prequel planned but anyway thank you so much for creating such a masterpiece! I enjoyed every second of it. And also to the weird guy for introducing DLATMOL in my life and also for being a wonderful host.
P.S Durga is best girl.
I restarted the chapter i got softlocked on, got through it, and finished the game. The final chapter was good, but very hard at the end with the final bosses having 1hko crits on everyone, it took more than one try because of that. I think not keeping that iron rune was my most costly mistake and I also lost maya before I got s rank so I couldn’t hammerene anything. It makes more sense she comes with a rank looking back now since there is time to level it. I ended the game breaking my last legendary weapon besides the unbreakable ones. I’ll probably iron man this in the future and unlock all of the characters I missed, its a better game in some ways than any other hack, I think it actually has the best lategame difficulty scaling, resource management, and best final boss setup. The beginning is very slow so maybe that’s why its not the most popular, but this is as good as the great hacks averaged out. Definitely a fun ironman experience.
Haven’t played through the full hack (but most of it so far, Suzana(?) the green haired wyvern rider just joined the squad its been a while).
So far I enjoyed the ride. My fav Character is prolly Chandra, sadly she died in my run V-V
I liked her sprite, she kinda looks like a way less fanservice version of Tharja and her asking for Jasmines skull reminded me of her as well. So basically I tried my own spin on a design of her. Will write something about the hack once I complete it.
The tactician looks awesome btw (called him Vandham, what a coincidence). He and Francine are prolly my most useful units at the moment.
absolutely adorable
