main dev anonymized their account for whatever reason, and hasn’t even logged on in 4 days, i’m concerned for the project’s future

yeah, i do not know why the main dev would anonymise their account and then just leave as this was meant to be a triology of PMES or something like that, it just feels strange to leave it at that

You guys relax the internet isnt always so kind they might have needed a break or are brunt out just give em some time not all of us can be on the internet all the time sometimes you need a break from it.

i’d bet that we’d be informed before the extended hiatus if that the dev was taking a break or was burnt out; instead it just happened out of the blue

Yeah, i wouldn’t have minded if OP just said “hey guys i’m kinda tired, i’m going away for a while” instead of just going AWOL and leave us all here guesing what the hell just happened

Look ik yall are worried but give them awhile if the project dies then it died oh well you can always use the unit you made elsewhere but we dont know if something sudden has happened to them just wait and give them time sometimes you cant tell anyone something has happened because you don’t have enough time to tell and help you can only help and you kinda just fade for awhile.

heck, if someone else were to take hold of this project as a last resort to get this done, i wouldn’t mind
i have plans for a entirely different PME where as many maps in FE8 as possible are converted to Thracia maps to the best of my abilities. Also all music is changed : z

It seems pmes are just slowing down now in general.
the prevalence of pmes ebbs and flows, things will pick back up eventually

I recieved a comment from SilverRoy212 from a now deleted account on the 30.12.24 that reads as follows:
Due to the deleted nature of his account I now only have this E-Mail
To me this does read like a goodbye message.
I just wanted to tell you that since well… this is the closest to a proper goodbye I found.
On his initial post SilverRoy has said that he is an “Internet drifter”, what he described as: “I check out a lot of different things on the internet, playing several types of games, watching videos and the like, enjoying whatever is fun but nothing really grandiose.”
Who knows, maybe it is his time to drift.
Still makes me wonder why he had to leave so suddenly, maybe he will return under a new name and pick it back up.
But if he doesn’t, it isn’t about the PME he didn’t finish, but the ones he did. He helped create the world of Elysian Elibe, my series of games. And for that I will be grateful, even if our paths may never cross again.
May the distant utopia come ever closer,

The leaving of sliverroy inspired me to make my own PME, which i have a few ideas for. Perhaps it could be the start of another thing… or one of my numerous failures. Perhaps i should stop worrying about it, and attempt to make the PME to honor silverroy’s legacy of making PMES. Perhaps my PME will succed and i will feel a great deal of joy. I just feel unimaginably worthless due to my failures to make a big thing, to be frank with everyone in this thread.

Welp. It was nice while it lasted. If SilverRoy is seeing this, I hope he’s happy with whatever he’s doing.
…no…perhaps…I should be the one to take up the mantle, well, gameplay wise, at the very least, pick up the pieces, and finish this, so that all of this isn’t for nothing
