I just saw this game have supports planned (sensational). Are this supports going to be classical or unlimited? As in, can you as many supports as you want but only one can be an A level? Or is it going to be the classic 5 supports max? Also, will these supports be unlocked by deployment (path of radiance/radiant dawn) or by sticking the characters together?
The shadows of Valentina was the original plan back when I had only two maps in each unique route and the hack was set to be ~10 chapters total. But then as I fleshed it out more, adding to both routes, it would end up being 24 chapters total (without counting side chapters).
So I want to make a shorter experience also available when Iām done. Hence the second version that plays more like sacred stones that would be 18 chapters.
Itās not that much harder to include and I figured different players have different tolerances regarding how long they want their game to be. ![]()
Right now itās 8 supports max with one A support, and supports are unlocked by sticking units together, but you can gain support at 2 tile range. Not every unit has 8 supports, most range from 3-6.
For the most part my friend ValerLance has been writing supports for me, as itās something I struggle with on my own. Itās likely supports will release more slowly due to that.
Makes sense. Iām playing your game right now and I have to say I am enjoying it. I hope whatever you are planning goes the way you want. Keep up the good work

Found what I believe to be a bug. When using the trapper bow, the archer pulls the string but no arrow is shot and the damage number are nowhere to be seen. However, it does damage and the extra effects attached to the bow.
Thanks!
I suspect I may have left out the arrow animation. Iāll fix this in the next patch ![]()
Donāt go yet, I found another. The moment I try to use the Angelic Robe from chapter 2x outside of battle, the game crashes. This is not supposed to happen in mGBA, which is the emulator Iām using, right?
Itās definitely not! Could you DM me your save, I havenāt been able to replicate this issue in mGBA myself.
Which character did you try to use it on?
In Ryne, then Quinn and lastly Freya. Itās a little late for the save, I already finished the chapter and saved. I can use the energy ring in chapter 4 just fine though.
Yeah itās madness. I wanted the true feel so I didnāt want to have to restart anything, Iāve limited my save state abuse as well, but I may have to restart this chapter at least and see if rng will treat me a bit better ![]()
For future reference, keeping a separate save file immediately after experiencing a bug is ideal. Trying to solve it yourself if you arenāt working on the game doesnāt bring about any benefit⦠Especially one thatās tricky to replicate like Ursus Knight was having trouble with, though it still exists
I donāt use mgba or I would try to send a save if it happened to me on there
So it might be linked to the chapter itās used on then.
. This is a solid lead, thanks.
A bit of advice for this chapter in hard mode (spoilers so you can save it for later if needed):
spoilers
- imo playing aggressively with Silas and Luin is the best bet to start with (Luin strives away from Silas and becomes an rng god)
- Silas can eat hits if itās only archers and sword users while if you can get luin onto that forest tile, sheās safe from most axe users
- Not every enemy is swarming directly to the inn, and some of the ones that would head to the inn have a higher priority to attack you. If you push out more you can figure out which is which.
- Also generally if an enemy is carrying a torch, they are going straight to the inn, otherwise they are likely to target your units first.
If youāre having trouble with the second half of the levelā¦
- reinforcements spawn on a particular turn OR if there are 3 or less bandits on the map
- layering Ryne and Ireneās aoe buffs makes it easier for your units (but Morgan in particular) to secure kills
It was in chapter 3, if it helps.
Okay so I played this on Hard originally but I restarted on Normal after dieing so many times in Chapter 1x. So is there any suggestions of how I beat that Chapter on Hard mode?
Chapter 1x is a survive chapter, with two side objectives.
If you just want to complete the chapter without the side objectives you can group your units in the center and between Silas, Morgan and Ginger you should be fine. The main thing is to clear out the first wave of wolves then hold the cliffs in the middle.
So Iām gonna assume you mean with completing the side objectives.
Other tricks:
- Ryneās fancy sword acts as light source like a torch, so with it out his vision is increased.
- Morgan has thief vision, youāll see why eventually.
- Lynxās hunting bow is effective against wolves and mounted units
chapter 1x side objectives
I suggest picking one of the two side objectives to complete.
Delivering the package or fighting the boss. Doing both is really tight timing wise and spreads you quite thin.
It was intended to be more of a pick one vs do both, but it has been shown to me it is possible to do both.
Hmmm I never thought about centering them. To be honest I donāt normally Play Fire Emblem games on hard mode but thatās why I wanted to try yours cuz this is specifically made for Hard mode and it really does live up to being hard mode.
Yeah hard mode is pretty tough, but it does gets
easier over time as your units begin to snowball. Iām working on tightening up the later levels of hard mode so they are a bit tougher.
Hello, just wondering if thereās something missing or is the Life and Death skill bugged? Iām in Chapter 2, and theres a Cutthroat with an iron sword next to the river a bit south-west of the boss that has Life or Death, with 8 STR and a 5 might Iron sword and Life and death, he has displayed 23 ATK. 8(STR)+5(Iron Sword)+3(Life and death) = 15, if Life and Death is even supposed to be displayed, how does he get 23?
In the same chapter thereās a reinforcement Cutthroat with Life and death that has an Iron dagger and displayed 20 ATK even though it should be 8TR+2Iron Dagger+3 Life and death = 13 so why is it 20? He just jump scared me by nuking one of my units for 18 from 1-2 range hahaha
Nice catch! You are absolutely right and thanks for pointing it out. It seems that that life and death skill is bugged, at least in this hack. It seems to be adding more damage (and damage taken) but it doesnāt seem to be super consistent with how it does it from unit to unit.
So hotfixs:
- I have changed the life and death skilled used, which has fixed the issue.
- Fixed arrow animation for the Trapper Bow
