New Bug Found(?)

Szechuan Sword_1700430942244

This cna be bypassed by hitting Start during that cutscene, but… man.
This also crashes the game btw.

I updated the rom. Sorry about that.

Cool! I’ll let you know how it goes.

Today I bear good news, gamers.

I have updated the game and the chapter 1 crash has been fixed. You can now play the game on any emulator you please!

Of course, I had to replace every song in the sound room, so some songs got replaced. I did my best to make sure I didn’t forget anything, but if something slipped through my fingers, please let me know. Along with this, I fixed a few bugs that I came across (those early events I made were pretty bad).

With this, I hope the game is serviceable to you all. Have a good day, everyone.

How do the supports work in this? It looks like units can get more than 5 but I’m not sure.

Guys should i play this? what should i watch out for if i was to play this? Any shit-tier units? Whats the gameplay like? why am i asking these questions? Its been 8 months since the last reply to this thread.

I would say the game is really easy because it was made for people who never played Fire Emblem before. Furthermore, I also never played fire emblem before I made this game. So it should be of no surprise if you find it rather easy. It’s also short so hopefully there is enough to keep one’s attention throughout. Ultimately it’s up to you if you want to play it.

But I can give you this advice: Puddle Boy is super good… the rest of the chapter 4 squad is horrid.

ALTERNATIVELY if you want to play the RPG Maker game this is an adaptation of, you can find it here.

idk prepromotes are good, but seeing as all the cast has paragon it doesnt matter. also, this is a short game so, prepromotes are even better. I like the sprites, and yes this game is easy as shit but makes up for it by its visual charm (unironic) and sfx. However i am on ch6 right now.

Having given the game a second swing (this time on the new version), I have to wonder what happened to the original player/enemy phase battle themes. While the new ones are fine, I kind of think they were a bit of a downgrade in terms of what they contribute to the overall vibe of the game—the old guitar ones felt appropriately hammy in a “kid playing ‘cool’ music in his head as he waves his action figures around” kind of way that I really loved, so it was a bit of a shame to see them gone.

Also, Dinkum’s song also doesn’t loop anymore and ends way sooner than in the first edition I tried. Maybe these things are related to storage stuff though, since ik this stuff tends to take a lot of romspace.
