LETS GO GAMBLING!
Be careful when you get in the water…
The shark sidequest begins! Find shark minibosses all over Polokus and fight them in water-only arenas! Beat them all, and you just might get a reward (at the end of the game, of course: this is a game-long sidequest).
That just about does it for everything I wanted to do now. Expect a new patch release this weekend.
The patch folder in the main post has been updated with a new patch! This includes:
- Fully completed chapter 3! Explore the Isle of Asche, a volcanic island with a severe dragon problem.
- A brand new dungeon, Felsen Shrine! Delve into the local volcano, solve puzzles, and blow stuff up!
- New sidequests! Talk to the townsfolk and see how you can help them!
- Revamped towns! Every single building entrance now has something, whether it be dialogue or items, or the new lottery. So check out everything you see!
- Fancy new menus for everything! Wood and metal look good together, don’t you think?
Download the patch in the main post, and let me know what you think!
so Andrea’s lottery keeps replaying the initial conversation, so I’m getting free stuff for nothing.
The oceanographer doesn’t take his telescope back when the sidequest is complete. Same thing for the tavern sign.
And this room doesn’t have a conversation!
Hm, checking the oceanographer and the lottery, they both function just fine on my end. There doesn’t look to be anything wrong with the events either. I assume you’re using a save from the previous patch? No idea if that could impact this at all.
I was admittedly lazy and didn’t put anything in the tavern though, haha. Since it’s used for a different scene later, I skimped out. I can throw a little something there though.
Yeah im using a previous save.
You dont have to put anything there, I just thought to say something in case there was a mistake.
oh, you should make the charged weapons be sellable
Whoops, that’s something that just slipped my mind. Will fix that.
I’m encountering another issue, the fight against Atticus and the axe guy doesn’t have boundary runes and the battle doesn’t end after i’ve beaten them both.
Hm… That fight doesn’t normally need the boundaries since it’s supposed to just end when their two death quotes are triggered. The event to end the fight is set to only run if Lionel is set as removed from the party, so maybe something with that is happening? Unsure.
Could you send me your save file actually? I could test it myself and see what’s up.
Starting on the next island, Alfarro. This small desert island will see two more familiar faces… Friendly, I hope.
Much thanks to @GoudaGrabber and @Marik for providing saves. I fixed the bug they were encountering and updated the patch in the folder. Now the Mount Felsen Summit fight should progress normally. Sorry that prevented you from getting to the actual dungeon!
Took about a week off to play Pokemon Legends ZA, and just finished completing the pokedex yesterdy, so now I can get back to this. Starting with some new party members!
Pat and Connie join the fray in the next chapter! They’re weaker than the other party members, since they’ve been sitting out of the action, but they’ve got their own useful traits for the fights ahead.
Connie finished modding her cannon, so now she can take it with her anywhere! It’s a single target bomb that can be reused as many times as you like. She also brings a new type of generic throwablae, the herb bomb.
Pat here is focused on debuffs, packing knives that only he can use. There’ll be more to come in the future for both him and Connie on the equipment front, so stay tuned!
Is there a range limit on Connie’s Cannon or can it hit any enemy on the map?
What are your thoughts on ZA?
It’s 1-4 range, so a little more than the standard mini bomb, which is 1-3.
ZA was pretty good. I did like Arceus more overall, but ZA being a smaller game was nice too (and I already really liked how “small” Arceus was relative to other open world games). ZA’s battle mechanics are pretty interesting, and I did a bit of online to try it out and had fun, but I don’t think I’ll be playing much of it anymore now that I completed the pokedex. I do definitely like having the wild zones all broken up with their own little dexes, makes completing them pretty simple.
I’ve encountered a bug in Chapter 1. After the fight there’s a little interlude where you can talk to the crew and save at the save point. I can’t interact with a sparkle to move the plot forward. I’ve examined it from all four sides and waited beside it and nothing happens. I can’t progress any further.
Which one specifically? Is it the one at the front of the ship? I assume you’ve met Isaac and stuff, just chilling on the ship doing character talks. Only Terry can interact with that sparkle up there, since he’s the captain.
Yes. The one at the front of the ship.
Is Terry not able to talk to it…?
