[FE8] Sacred Redux v2.5.3 [COMPLETE]

no where actually I made a topic about it and the only user who replied only gave the link to the thread I also asked lagspike on his FE9 Demake project but he said that it was done a long long time ago and it wasnt possible,maybe some user has the latest patch.I donk really know.

Ah okay, I’ll see if I can find the thread then, see if it sparks any ideas.

I did find it. Unfortunately can’t access the changelog so I cannot see all of the changes he made, but that’s okay. Outside of some major story overalls (cause apparently FE7’s story is bad lol) I intend on making the changes relatively the same as this hack.

1.more emphasis on player phrase
2.all modes unlocked from beginning
3.a route merge option (it has already been done but it’s your choice)
4.hector with black armor(lol)
5.a revamped magic system(from FE8 blood’s hack)
6.tweaked music
7.tweaked units
8.hp caps more than 60
9.stat caps more than 30
10.make lyn good
11.make some bad units good.
12.new characters(optional I dont really recommend new characters but it’s your choice)
13.make the story good(your choice)
14.more promotion options(3 max ur choice)
15.more fell contracts and other promotional items
16.(this is just my recommendation but I think every class should have more than 60 hp,healers are an exception)
17.considerable nerfs and buffs to characters
18.a playable tactican(cause it makes no sense that we are invisible,this is also up to you)
19.make hard mode more harder
20.everything you want to add
21.things from electric boogaloo
22.level caps higher than 20
23.multiple S ranks
24.fargus and lloyd playable characters?
25.can harken and karel appear at the same time?on the same map.

as for animations I think id like them custom(its up to you):

there are many custom animations
like:
kent and sain (I like there cavlier animation but not the paladin so ill say for their paladin animation use the helmless salvaged one,this is my opinion its totally up to you)

(if you have played bloods FE8 hack then you might have seen the colm’s assassin animation ill recommend you use that animation for assassins especially for Matthew.)

Answer

As for Merlin’s Tome, it’s a Juna Fruit. It lowers a Lvl 10+ Unit’s level by 10 I believe, but keeps their stats. So if you have a maxed or near maxed unit that hasn’t capped enough stats, that’s what it’d for.

Yeah, I was thinking of implementing most of those ideas. Why give Hector black armor though lol? Isn’t his blue?

It kinda actually represents his potrait where he has a black armor but in the battle he has blue armor that just doesn’t makes sense.here I found this sprite from FE7 the community edition:

Hector’s FE6 portrait wears blue armor though, and the armor of both portraits appear to be near identical so I would guess that the armor is meant to look a pale blue color.

Plus I think each of the three lords representing the colors red blue and green makes them easily identifiable and gives them more visual appeal IMO.

I’m not trying to make you feel bad, dude, I’m just bringing up a counterpoint simply because I don’t agree with something you said. This is a very minor change anyway. There’s also an argument for either color.

oh ok I think but even if the author goes with the blue colour I still think that he should give a closer look to hectors hair I think it’s changed from his vanilla hair.

That’s actually pretty cool. There’s another one that I really like where the palette is changed to match his character art. His pants are brown, and the armor is darker like this one.
