Hello! I’m TheMasterAtNothing, some random who does things for things’ sake. Recently, I picked up FEBuilder, and this is the first thing I did. I created a very… special version of Fire Emblem 8. I’m surprised by how many resources are available for new romhackers. (I say without having ever romhacked before) and FEBuilder was surprisingly easy to pick up. I took suggestions from the Discord servers of 4 different Fire Emblem YouTubers: FEMSPaint, Mythril Zenith, Bad At Fire Emblem, and Mekkah. Thank you to everyone who suggested the stupidest stuff possible to create this version of Fire Emblem 8: The Sacred Stones.
I used assets from other people, absolutely amazing work. Their credits are listed in the .txt file, along with a few tips and the entire changelog.
I attempted to post some screenshots, but the site wouldn’t let me. Probably because of how recently this account was made.
This hack contains a large amount of edits that were suggested by random users of multiple Discord servers of 4 different Fire Emblem YouTubers. I also made a lot of changes myself. There’s a full list of changes in the text file that comes with the UPS patch.
Version 1.1 has been released, and it has replaced the original version in Google Drive. It contains fixes to a few mistakes I made, while also a few more surprises. Enjoy!
Version 1.2 has been released! Contains more fixes to even more mistakes! A lot of changes I did for Version 1 were not saved, and so some of those missing changes were in Version 1.1. Version 1.2 fixes all of that!
Also, due to someone releasing a Panette portrait on FE Fangame Essentials, I could finally do a request that I couldn’t do before! Dozla’s funeral will be tomorrow at 6PM, at Rausten Court.

Finished over the course of about 3 days. Blind-ish (Skimmed Readme, was some stuff on Discord but didn’t note down all changes)?
Hard mode, non-ironman but also not 100% side objectives. Didn’t use tower, skirmish or ruins. Didn’t wind up using any Juna either.
The hack has a very long name. That is all.

General feedback
Things I liked:
Some changes to skillsys and classes versus “standard”.

Master Seal instead of per-class
“split” of stat boosters
Summoner Lord
Very rare siege tomes
Increased promo gains. Normally overkill but the hack does throw some BS at player.
More Warp and Hammerne staves! More uses for latter too.
Steal+ access
A couple very-high durability weapons, alongside buffing some vanilla durability.
Rally going on Dancer led to some interesting decisions. Although mostly just Danced
Goku.
Probably more I forgot
Infantry class. Shame I had bugs with Mozu and Sami is pretty unusable past very start.
Juna fruit galore!
Neutral and such. More of statistics about run.
As often happens, ended with lots of unused goodies. Hammerne uses were only for the best of the best. Both boot durability went to Tethys.
Overall, by far my MVP was Grieg. Provoke and 38 def go a long way. Even saw more combat than counter could keep track of! Secondary units of great importance however were Erika (Solid stats aside) for Summon utility, Seth for Charisma (and anyway being a solid combat unit for entire game despite falling off some by end). Ewan also turned out amazing and even Pent got use past join chapter thanks to fancy tome. Ephraim when proccing skills was good. Otherwise merely ok.
Hardest chapter wound up being 14 (Ephraim route) Mainly due to wanting Rennac. Who anyway sat on bench most of the game.
Final team
Turn counts. Did wind up playing final and 15 twice due to derp with savestates
Mixed feelings overall on the many “variants” of weapons. Such as Brave Sword. or Iron Axe.
Things I’m… not as happy about:
Koishi. Just unfun. Granted I didn’t have a Sniper. Hawkeye would help some. Less so for on map she’s far though.
Rng skills. Player and enemy alike, hard to plan around them.
Felt like swords lacked a 2-2 option. There’s a few 1-2s but limited durability and/or late.
Last few maps felt pretty much forced into "Use Forseti, Tyrfing or Balmung
Overall, mainly due to above Anima/Sword seemed best weapon classes by far and in turn other types lacking. Gun does exist though.
Critical Luna. Yes scrolls are abundant but not fun to fight.
Markups on prep armory
Nitpick, but lack of “Show heal amount” and “monster weapon stats” patches.
With all the various new items the fact longbow is still only 3-range option. Would’ve been nice imo if there was some random prf, or treasure (as in generic, ideally player only but can’t get more of). Or maybe even someone with +1 range to bow or tome… which for all I know a class does get and just haven’t noticed.
Again with various things felt a lack of held +damage item. Even just something like held +2 mag/str could help.
Sami isn’t really useable past first few maps.
Myrhh felt too weak to use.
Bug and/or oddities:
I’m well aware some of these may have already been fixed, plus Ephraim route was untested.
Falcoknight promo preview mentions Slayer. Which is not the skill it gets.
Sniper promo claims Sure Shot, gets 15% crit.
Ranger class doesn’t have Canto
Wing Spear doesn’t mention effectiveness in description
Wyrmslayer only has 10 durability
Kelik scroll isn’t giving any (visible?) growth boost. Unsure about crit blocking.
Syrene’s Amaterasu isn’t working
Weird bug interaction thingy something happens when enemy dies to Counter. Thankfully all just visual and temporary.
The following are all from Ephraim route, unsure if some get shared:
ch12 Boss has listed move, doesn’t move.
ch13 Killer Lance armor on east bridge, and the Luna shamans by boss have listed move, don’t move
ch14 the immobile drops-doorkey and armors next to them don’t move despite listed move. (Unsure of my notes, pretty sure the Druids by boss too)
ch16 Armor on stairs by chest has listed move, doesn’t. Same with trio of eclipse druids by boss
ch18 Many many foes have listed move, don’t.
ch19 Riev. Listed, doesn’t move.
Ch21 the ArchMogalls all don’t move despite claim.
Ch21 again, Koishi has Lady Blade but seemingly wasn’t flagged female. So… unarmed.
Ch22 (final) Some skeletons and Gorgons by Lyon who don’t move despite claimed.
Found this really funny bug in the arena where Lute just… doesn’t load. Basically nobody loads, she keeps getting hit. this is the joshua recruit map btw
