Korone doesn’t learn Luna because her promoted class doesn’t have the promoted class flag, which causes the game to treat it as unpromoted.
Keep Up is a different bug where units can only learn 1 skill when they level up, since Keep Up is programmed to be obtained at the same level as Heavy Strikes it gets skipped over. The same bug happens with Anya and Blood Tide
Thank you for letting me know about how Korone’s bugs work. That’s a shame but it doesn’t make her unusable.
I’m not sure what is intended here but I figured I should mention this. I was watching my friend play through Chapter 23 and I noticed that for some reason the Acrobat skill scroll he got from the enemy drop in the 2nd part turned into Double Lion when he defeated the enemy. He is playing on VBA I believe so that may be the cause, but when trying to look into this I noticed that Acrobat is the first skill listed in the skill config.
This made me realize it’s possible the two skill scrolls from the enemy drops in this chapter may have defaulted to Acrobat for me instead of the intended skills. To clarify, I only got Acrobats, while my friend got an Acrobat from the first enemy and Double Lion from the second enemy even though the inventory of the enemy initially showed Acrobat.
Are the two skill scrolls intended to be Acrobats or are they supposed to be other skills?
She can’t promote with the usual class change item but she can class change after chapter 21x Existence, kill her doppelganger and she will class change
Decided to play a second run of this game, caught a bug.
In Ch4, the NPC reinforcement Archers aren’t assigned the usual Order Kn., but rather Haato; as such, their HP stats are massive and everything else is a 20 or near-20 (cap of unpromoted units).
I have considered the idea, and it may be the case going forward. I still need to dabble with the numbers slightly and the rework will reduce skills a ton!
I’ll second this notion. Fire Emblem proc skills where the trigger is Skill% or something similar feel quite unreliable for most of the game until the end where you can have 50 or more points of Skill.
(Side note, Iroha’s Astra procs eat all of her weapon durability. Maybe change this?)
2nd run made it to Ch13 now. Anyways, thoughts on the newer version of S4S.
I miss the old Ch9. ??? leaving sooner and fewer reinforcements (I think) is probably helpful for casuals/newer players, but frankly I miss the old version where I’m constantly fighting for my life.
I opted to fight all 18 Spear Halbs in Ch10, because I’m not a coward that spawnblocks 2/3 of them. Turns out, their threat level is overblown if you take advantage of the map properly. On the right side, one Halb spawns from above, while the others take a long time to get there, so you can have your good units deal with the ones on top before turning around to deal with the reinforcements heading up the map. On the left side, the solution is to simply be aggressive and capture the area where the Longbow reinforcements are coming from. You can easily keep 3-4 Halbs distracted by just having Amelia, Mumei, Polka etc. stand next to the wall and allow themselves to be attacked through it; Amelia has Lancebreaker, Mumei has a Lancereaver, Polka is insanely bulky, and if you have anyone else who can tank Halbs, they can do it too. Just have Noel fight them one at a time through the wall with a Hand Axe.
Ch12 is an RNG fest as usual. Rallywoman (Kiara) has a tendency to either die to low% hits from the KFPs on 1RN, or backfire herself to death while trying to hit said KFPs. Otherwise, it’s just a catchup grind map since each KFP gives out insane EXP.
