Okay now I managed to completely redownload and repatch the ups, inputs work now, crashing issue from save state persists. Not sure what else to try but to completely freaking redo the stupid tower and hope this issue stops, otherwise I can never complete the tower

OMG 60 hours!?
Savestates don’t just save the normal save parameters like a normal in-game save
they save everything, including every minor leak, overflow and bug that accumulate over time
and that a normal hard reset can easily flush away every time.
Honestly I’m amazed the game didn’t crush once for 60 hours.
A savestate is like you never closed a game and kept running it for 60+ hours.

Since the ROM is freshly patched,
load save state> don’t kill the boss> have 1 unit just wait and grey out > exit to title screen>
close emulator > reboot emu > reload save.

I just hope your manual in-game save didn’t save a very corrupting save element after 60 hours of continuous gameplay.

bro, try a different emulator poo-brains. Your problem may be that simple, as well

mGBA is the most accurate, available. Would highly recommend you use it to prevent issues

When the project was finished, no$GBA 2.9 was the latest ver.
but now I see that a 3.05 exists

Use savestates, but every 2~3 floors/maps/chapters do exit the game and have it reload freshly from the normal load screen.

I find myself in a rather odd position given my particular circumstances and how I do emulation. I go through the process of turning my patched files into .Cia’s and putting these directly on my 3DS.

When I get to the point where I need to transition between the Main game version and the post game version, does anyone know how exactly do I go about doing that?

You just need the two individual ROM files named differently then rename the save to the name of the post game rom.

As an example Rom1.gba and Rom2.gba with Rom1.sav Just rename it to Rom2.sav and it will work.

I mostly work with these on my 3ds as well so I usually keep my computer on a network link with it in case of save shenanigans.

I probably should have elaborated that I turn them into Virtual Console games, rather than using an emulator on 3ds.

Either way, I found a workaround using GodMode9 which allows for save data injections, so I should be good either way.

Yeah, injectable files aren’t something i use. either way you’d just need to be able to actually rename the save.

However I think by converting the roms into an injectable you may have screwed yourself, since almost every FE rom hack is intended to work with an emulator. I know the VC is an emulator but might be the wrong kind for this.

Yes this glitch might happen for some
that’s why use the 1.51 patch (part 2) and clear the 1st floor (not entrance) of the new Tower maps and there’s a new check to give you Lyon without fail.

So I’m playing through chapter 14 Ephraim route, I killed every enemy, opened every chest, and even went to the serect shop, but I can’t beat the chapter because I don’t have Ephraim to seize the throne since he wasn’t required to pick and I just find him to be weak. Is there anything I can do to finish the chapter without just restarting and just picking Ephraim (The emulator I’m using is Mgba on Retroarch so that might be the problem).

Hello, I want to give this one a try… But I just need to see if I fully understand the process… So, to start I need to download and play the 1.3x version, correct? I’m supposed to play it and once I get to the post game, after clearing the dungeon mentioned, I need to swap to 1.5x version to enjoy the rest of the post game experience?? For some of the notes, I get the feeling that If I were to play 1.5x from the get go, I would miss some stuff… Correct??

Yes, think of it like changing discs.
Start on 1.3 do everything (Main story > Tower > Rift) then use the 1.5 patch and load the save data like normal.

Nope, you have no unit capable of seizing, its actually a “bug” that ephraim isn’t force deployed but you very much need him for the map. He is a lord unit after all.

I mean, you are trying to clear a story without its main character so…

Is there a way for me to easily add QoL changes that other hacks do to this hack, using FEBuilder or something? I’d like to increase the convoy size to 200 and/or make the enemy threat ranges reflect stationary AI.

Give him a Sacred Weapon for extra stats and 5/5 supports.

That’s not enough, I saw with febuilder that in the third level of the tower, in a chest, there is a Holy stone. My plan is to get 3 more to make Seth invencible
