Chapter 25 can’t start.

In regards to LGBT, i actually thought Vlad and Fabio were a couple when i first saw them lol.
Anyway following up on difficulty, things have def been picking up since around their join time. I quite like how the enemies are placed + the relative density, makes it quite easy to get overwhelmed in spite of their relative weakness. I have been ironmanning and the only death was the first pegasus, but i have had more than a couple close calls lately.
I honestly love enemy mages not having that much magic because maps like 15 would get really obnoxious otherwise due to the fog + sleepers. Routing it was really fun.

Ah okay yes this one I have encountered. Does it not start at all or just from the show map screen. Because if thats the problem I think it is it should still start from the prep screen.

In truth, I have no idea what’s causing it, and no clue how to fix it :sob: (I think it might be due to the sheer amount of playable units the game’s trying to handle as that’s when you recruit the last one) so if someone does know a fix for this I’d be all ears

Is it just me or are the Hit Rates in this romhack very deceiving? There is no way enemies consistently manage to hit so many times without fault when they have below 40% hit rate, but my units when having 92-95% miss hits twice as more as the enemies with their low hit rates do. Cant be me having the worst luck ever. Can it? :frowning: I have been trying to get far into this romhack but man, this is the 8th time since starting today that several units miss hit rates over 80% when they need to, and then die to enemies chipping away their health when their hit rates are 40% and go as far as 21% getting swarmed (especially in those damn fog of war maps) and hit by 4 units without a single miss until they get killed. I have been meticulous with the placing, and then I miss a 93% hit and die to a 33% percent hit. I rush in and miss an 89% hit, then get crit killed by the boss that had 58% hit and 3% crit rate…there is no way. I rush in to mow down a thief who stole something I wanted, catch them, then get obliterated by 3 units who combined perfectly did 26 damage between the 3 of them, ultimately killing my 26 HP unit…with the highest hit rate being 42%, and the lowest being 27%…and none of the 3 of them missed, then the next turn, Randall dies by missing a 90% hit, counterattacked with a 55%. I am seethe-crying right now. Just gonna lie down and sleep the pain away.

Not just you cause I was like I feel like I miss 80%-85% waaaaaaaay too often

I knew it! I just knew it! Something wrong. Either that, or you and me both are just unlucky beings in this world haha. This is the same reason I just never finished Fates, because I can use save states here when I get too frustrated, but on that game, cant remember which chapter and route it was, but I remember it being a boat chapter. I missed 6 times just in that chapter alone, hits above 90% and two units died. The next day I tried again…and I missed 2 times against the boss and died twice, both hits were above 85%. I just quit and never finished the game.

I’ve not done anything to the hit rates. They should just be the same as base FE8

I haven’t been missing much but there were several occasions which enemies have hit under 30% and even 20% and 10%, but yeah, that’s just luck. Even so, because the enemy stats are usually fairly low, even when they get lucky the survivability of your units is still pretty good. I dont consider the game to be way too easy, but is one that you can be pretty safe playing carefully and attentively. I do think that if you get 2 or more blessed stats units they can steamroll the enemies quite quickly though, but I’m only at chapter 13, so things might get harder afterwards. My Randall I think has pretty below average stats overall so I dont think he can face even one round of combat against Eliazor, which is a shame cause I wanted to check their convo (I’ll use a save state just to see it though).

Damn. Guess I will be adding “trash luck in FE games” to my list of unluck achievements in life then. Other than that, game is fine. I finally beat Chapter 5x about half an hour ago, which is the one that I have having trouble with my unluckiness. It’s not even that the enemies are too hard to kill, it’s just me I guess. But I wanna finish it for sure. Saw up there that someone had an issue starting Chapter 25, hopefully it doesnt happen to me, since just last week I tried replaying Code of the Black Knights and my game completely crashed during the final chapters and would just not let me go through the secret chapter I discovered for the first time, so I could never finished that second playthrough sadly :frowning: praying I dont run into anything like this here. Keep up the good work! I adore long af romhacks! This might be the second longest I have played after Vision Quest I think.

I beat the game in two days…..unashamedly binged it! At first I was unsure with some lower growth rate characters being the first ones granted, I thought “maybe nobody is usable, or it’s just a low stat game. However, the game was excellent. Units turned out far more balanced than I had assumed, story was engaging throughout, and the themes regarding the human condition, and the fragility of life and power pursuits, while also emphasizing the subjectivity of morality. Gameplay, story, characters, supports, pacing, awesome surprises and gaiden chapters, all while maintaining integrity to fire emblem while exploring more common human struggles, rather than dragons or divine. It was epic! Very well done. The huge cast also makes it super replayable. It’s friendly to beginners and veterans alike.

Congrats on the release of a great game.

I decided to keep silent, but since someone started it I am going to speak up as well. I didn’t want to bring it up if it’s only me, because random chances are very easy to create biased opinion.

My units often miss 80-90% hit situations, never happens in other romhacks/original games. Having said that enemy units with 60-70% hit also tend to miss often. Maybe this romhack is calculating without favoring the player, like most games roll addtional time behind your back to not feel discouraged by missing high hit chances. In some cases they tell you about it and even give options to change that. 2RN it is called, I guess? Maybe this romhack has 1RN or just numbers are not correct or maybe it’s massive paranoia, haha.

If it was using 1RN, it would be extremely easy to check in the game’s code by using FEBuilder. Given that the hack creator has already said that they made no edits to the hit formula, I’m inclined to believe that, given how easy it would be to disprove.

I would also note that I have seen literally dozens of romhacks been accused of using 1RN and almost always the claim has been incorrect- people are really inclined to notice outliers.

Yeah, I agree. Let’s say it’s a coincidence then, but I really didn’t have so many missed hits in any other game like here and since another person said the same I thought maybe there’s something going on. But again, in a long run it should even out. Like my Kristoph (btw how to promote him? regular ring doesn’t work) couldn’t get any magic growth, despite 40%. He started from level 10, but until that point he hasn’t increased once and I was a bit worried, now I have 11magic by level 18 (nice to have fast leveling heal staff user btw, it always sucked in originals), so it’s perfectly fine. Maybe even too good, because of high hp, def and res he is my best tank, lol.

Oh right! Because of the addition of enchanters as a playable class, priests, monks, and troubadours have their own promotion item called Sacred Fire which can be found in Chapter 10.

Just noticed both Aoife and Elizabeth have Male Aid, i assume it is unintended at least for Elizabeth, but it does seem like a rather cool way to showcase she is more experienced than her sisters plus her stats arent particularly mind blowing at this point (though still pretty good) so i wont complain.

Side note, is there a secret shop at all? I have been looking for it since it was obtained and still no luck, i am not really looking for an exact location since i dont mind searching, just checking if it has been implemented or you are still working on refining more important aspects.

Another typo i found, plus problem with Leonid’s boss convo

Have fixed the typos and the error with Leonid’s boss convo.

Also the secret shop is actually in that chapter.

Secret Shop Location

It’s in Chapter 20. It’s on the island with the two druids, between the pillars.

Dang i was so close to finding it accidentally. Ah well, at least reloading to take a look and it is nothing i need. Was that the only one in the game?

Are there hidden treasures in the desert maps?
