Hopefully the wait shouldn’t be too long. I’m currently writing support conversations, but the final act should be released after that.
Act V is now out! The hack is now complete, and can finally be played from beginning to end!
I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out, and am very proud to finally have a complete work to be able to show. :>
I sincerely hope you all enjoy it!
Congrats on completion! I’ve been keeping an eye on this one for a bit! I always like to ask what difficulty is recommended and are there any secrets to watch out for when starting a new rom hack?
So far there’s no difficulty selection, (though I may add that in later - probably after a bit of a break to avoid masters)
In terms of secrets? Its not super secret heavy? There’s a few characters who may be needed to recruiting other ones later on and there’s the gaiden chapters which net you extra goodies and usually a personal weapon for units they’re related to.
(I’ll actually add a gaiden to the main post because I thought I had one before but apparently I did not
)
Congratulations on the completion. Must be a great feeling to finally have something out there.
Don’t get me wrong i do like skills, but there’s something in just going raw in a FE that i love, fully write supports it’s a plus ultra, really thank you, i will play this when i have time off the work.
I found a bug
I’m on Chapter 11, Gereon just joined the team, and he still has his movement from when we were defending him, which is none
Edit: Resetting the game and reloading the save fixed it
Ahhh right, thank you for letting me know. I had a similar issue with Emilie in Ch 7 and Crow in Ch 16, so I imagine its a similar fix ![]()
This should now be fixed! I’ve also gone and added a few more talk events between units in the mid and late game.
Something else I assume is a bug
I have Hester promoted, she’s a rogue, but not able to pick without lockpicks on chapter 20, but niedolf who I just recruited can pick locks
First of all, congratulations on the full release.
I am in chapter 8, not really far into the game, but i would say i am having a good time. The writing for character interactions feels natural and all around likeable, alongside the political intrigue i am very curious to see how things will end up for everyone involved.
I think the maps themselves are cool besides for the fog of war one, but the difficulty has definitely been on the easy side thus far. Enemies are just not particularly threatening outside of a handful sword users, but since the best units thus far (Stanley, christmas knights, Randall) all have lances they are still simple to deal with. 1-2 range being so limited def changes how some maps are approached, and i’m being very mindful of using javelins unnecessarily.
Thus far i would say it feels a like a rather vanilla experience (not a complaint, theres absolutely nothing wrong with this), def having a good time and am interested in seeing how the plot will develop. Once again, congratulations on the full release.
Small typo i noticed.
EDIT -
Also i dont know if i am missing something, but Thomas seems to be getting and giving extremely high support bonuses?
Ahh right, thanks for pointing it out. Should be fixed now ![]()
Good job, I like vanilla experience. Sometimes too much is not good. Character design is original, sometimes feels a bit strange, but I see the effort. Just started so don’t know how it goes, but I wonder how is difficulty? It doesn’t have any setting for that, starting chapters are perfect so far - not hard, but not easy as Lin’s mode or FE8, just a decent introduction, even plot despite being usual “suddenly one faction attacks another” has some interesting parts.
I don’t know if the author made it consciously or not, but I love the “Seth” starting unit. It’s like the guy, but with entire life’s baggage. He is better than rest, but weaker than original from Sacred Stones and even his growths are pretty low, as they should be for the old guy, who is past his prime.
Edit: chapter 4 kicked my ass. I wonder if those chests and skill book are troll, because well… surviving is hard enough, so I didn’t make it, 7 turns are not enough for that. Just a single chest, which turned out to be a regular sword, bummer
But I am used to missing most things in FE games, when there’s time limit for villages/chests, etc.
Edit 2: I don’t like using popular ost in romhacks. Until that point I’ve heard only one track (on boss I think) that I might know, rest felt original and great, but in ch5 using classic like Chrono Trigger is a bit like too obvious (Vision Quest or some other great hack did the same). I would rather have the same music from other FE games than using such popular scores, but well, it’s just matter of my taste, nothing major.
Congrats on the game, I’ve been playing and having fun so far. I’m at chapter 8 and finally got my first promo item. I’m using Elaine and was considering early promote her, but while testing her promo to paladin I saw that she gains no constitution bonus, with her con staying at 8, which I think it’s pretty dreadful. I tested the Thomas promo and he gains 2 con, so why the difference when they’re the same class? If it’s a mistake, I hope you can fix it soon, if it’s a deliberate decision, I ask you to reconsider, cause it hampers the character a lot. Thank you
Yes I really appreciate the hacks that can just be simple and like the regular formula when so many try do so much, which is fine but it’s nice to sometimes get one that’s just nice and simple and modern and still good.
The same happens with Olivia. And Jackie gets no stats upon promotion except for 1 point in con. I think it’s probably better to check all promos at this point.
Okay, so this is probably because base FE8 decides that women don’t get to have constitution, for whatever reason. I’ve gone through and edited the con stats and promotion gains so that should hopefully be better now?
Having a great time so far! Just wondering if there were any LGBTQ support options so I can consider my final team.
Yes actually!
I can’t remember them all off the top of my head but a few confirmed queer romantic support chains are Erin + Cherry, Jackie + Hilde, Fabio + Crow, Hesiod + Francois and one more lategame one I’ll write down if I figure out how to use spoiler tags lol
Ohhhh thank you so much!! I will note these I have and keep my eye out for later
