Yes, you read the title correctly. I am giving myself exactly one week to faithfully recreate as much of FE1 as I can in the FE8 engine.

Script copied directly from the anniversary edition of FE1, since that’s the only official version of the game in English.

Sounds exciting!
FE1 is a somewhat of an interesting game mechanically but it is very outdated with how slow it is.

I almost forgot to make this post!
As promised, here is the End of Day One Update:
The first 8 maps are finished, a third of the whole game. Of those eight, the first two are evented and in a playable state. However, I’ve decided to make all the maps first and event them afterward, making my progress easier to keep track of.
I decided that all character portraits will be class cards to cut down on asset use, especoally since most of the cast don’t have free to use portraits available. This also has the bigger implication that there won’t be a script at all. All of this is subject to change if I decide to keep updating this after the first week, but for the time being, focusing strictly on gameplay is for the best.
There will still be bowguns
